Sonnet on the Nature of Love

Commencing with a bold statement—not vast.

Instead….a bold question to think to thirds.
To love; to be in love—can you contrast?
Describe it for me; make me feel your words.
It’s not exactly knowing the different,
But simply realizing that there is one
To e held hostage in one’s brilliance
Yet to be lost and want one to be done.
I am young and I’m extremely naïve.
Comprehending these two—what a deep craze.
“I love” holds this astonishing fee--
“I’m in love” shows you are set in a daze.
Compare it for me as sharp as a spike—
To love or to be in love; what is it like?
