Introduction

Chocolate is perhaps the only word in the world, which finds most favorable

response from one and all especially the children. In these days of competition many

brands come & go but only those that are manufactured with quality consciousness

are the ultimate survivors.

An attempt has been made to study the Consumer Preference Towards

Chocolate Brands Available In Ghazipur, which has mixed strata of population.

Such as Businessmen, Service Class, Doctors and Educationists. The choice for

chocolates is increasing day by day to advertisement war ventured by the

manufacturers through different media aids such as TV Magazines and Newspapers

etc.

Through this study, an attempt has been made to know the market potential &

scope of the Flavors and Brands of Chocolates which find liking by the various

consumer mainly the children & adults belonging to different age-groups.


OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

1.      To know the reason for purchase of chocolates.

2.      To find out brand preference of the chocolates consumer in Ghazipur.

3.      To find the factors which affect the consumer preference at the time of

purchasing chocolates in Ghazipur. 

4.      Flavor choice.

5. Advertisement effect and effective media of advertisement in Ghazipur.

6. Price consideration.

7. After effect of chocolate consumption.

8. Packaging effect.

9. Hunger /Status / Taste / Pleasure recognition as reason to relish chocolates.


IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY
 
 
1. The study provides data about satisfied customers and dissatisfied customers.

2.  The study identifies the factors influencing the choice of brand.

3.  The  study  helps  in  understanding  what  are  the  requirements  of  the 

customers.

4.  It  is  also  beneficial  for  Ghazipur  retailer  to  know  about  preference  of 

customers.

5.  It helps  in  making  marketing  strategy  for  brand.

6.  It  can  formulate  to  understand  what  additional  services  can  be  beneficial 

for  customer.

7. It gives clue about what attracts most customers.


LIMITATIONS

The  buyers  may  not  follow  what  they  have  stated  in  their  responses.  Thus 

the  degree  of  reliability  cannot  be  taken  to  be  always  accurate. 

There are certain constraints  of  this  study:

1. The size of the sample is small.

2.  The study is limited to the city of Ghazipur.

3.  The period of study is limited.

4.  As  some  of  the  shops  keep  both  branded and  unbranded  chocolate,  it  had

to  be  ensured  that  the  respondent  had  bought  only branded   chocolate.

Methodology

Research is a common language refers to a search of knowledge. Research is scientific


& systematic search for pertinent information on a pacific topic, infect research is an
art of scientific investigation. Research methodology is a scientific way to solve
research problem. It may be understood as a science of studying how research is doing
scientifically. In it we study various steps that are generally adopted by research by
research in studying their research problem it is necessary for researchers to know not
only know research method techniques but also technology.

Type Of Research Methodology Used

Casual or Experimental Research - A casual design investigates the cause and effect
relationships between two or more variables.

Type Of Data Used

Primary & Secondary Data will be used.

Sources of Data Collection

Questionnaire method will be selected for collection of primary data. Secondary data
will be collected from internet & other sources.

Sampling Size:

The sampling size of the study is 100 users.
