The vehicle was described by witnesses at the seene as a silver car that had traveled in the wrong direotton on Sth Street. ‘The vehicle was estimated to be traveling at about 30-60 miles per hour when it,drove onto the sidewalk. The vehicle struck three people, including B.V.H, The vehicle continued driving westbound on Sth Street, All three individuals were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where it was determined that B.V.H, suffered severe head trauma, ‘The other two females, S.B, and K.HL,, were initially unconscious but suffered non-life threatening injuries, At the scene, $.B, fold officers and paramedics that she could not feel her legs. At the time of this Complaint, investigators had determined that 8.B.’s injuries to her left leg were considered very serious and she is currently unable to walk. Officers spoke swith L.F., who stated she had been walking with B.V.H, when he was hit. LP. stated sho and B.V.H. had Jeft the Kitty Kat Club and were walking on the sidewalk when she heard a car engine revving behind them. LF, stated she looked behind ler and saw vehicle headlights heading toward B.V.H. and herself. L.P, stated the vehicle was on the sidewalk, traveling toward them at a high rate of speed, L-F. stated she attempted to grab FORMS REY, 12195 Page 2 B.V.H, by the arm just before he was struck by the vehicle, L.P. told investigators that B.V.H, was carried on the hood of the car about 50 feet, struck his head against a utility pole, flew into the air, and landed in the intersection, On April 21, 2011, officers spoke to B.B., who stated TIMOTHY AYMAN BAKDASH, Defendant herein, admitted that he had gotten in a “car accident.” Defendant told him he had gone to the Library Bar in Minneapolis ‘where he had quite a fow drinks, He stated he had gotten in an altercation with two males and two females, ~Defendant-continned-to-angue-wit ife-outsh a way Defendant then got into his vehicle, a Mitsubishi Galant, and traveled down the wrong way on a oue-way street where he drove onto the sidewalk and struck the group of pedestrians. Defendant admitted he intended to hit and kill three of the people there, but stated he struck a fourth person whom he did not intentionally hit. He stated he hhad no remorse for hitting the others, B.B, stated Defendant sold him the Mitsubishi Galant for $1,500. He stated he heard Defendant speaking with his niother, Diane Bakdash, over tho telephone on April 15, 2011. B.B. stated he heard Defendant’s mother tell Defendant that he had to get rid of that car that night, She also stated she would sign the title, B.B, later picked up the vehiole and took it to his garage stall to begin repairs, He received the vehicle’s title document that contained Defendant’s mother's signature. B.B. stated the windshield was smashed and there were dents in the vehicle.
