Teachers spearhead the development of national education, the task of teachers is
closely related to human resources development through education sector. by kartena the necessary efforts to improve the quality of teachers to be professionals for improving the quality of education can be successful. causes, improving the quality of education depends on many things, particularly the quality of teachers. purpose of this study is to investigate and assess the influence of motivation and competence of teachers' performance. Research was conducted at 20 primary schools in the cluster antapani Bandung district. This research was conducted in a descriptive verification with quantitative approach. population in this study were teachers civil servants (PNS), which numbered 118 people, while the samples taken by 54 teachers. Method of analysis using path analysis (path analysis), which is equipped with testing the validity and reliability. based on research results using path analysis showed that motivation and competence either partially or significantly influence the performance of teachers. motivation directly influence the performance of teachers by 56.1%, directly affecting kinberja competence of teachers at 48.3%. simultaneously motivation and competence significantly influences the performance of teachers for the remaining 59.3% is influenced by factors; other at 40.7%.
