Ice breaking and introduction


Objectives
• To gain an insight into people’s level of understanding of Fair Trade. This gives the trainer an
indication of how in depth his/her training session needs to be.

• To break the ice as people either play Globingo or relax watching the video. Then they discuss their
answers.

Module One

GLOBINGO
Objective
To get to know each other and recognise some of our connections with different parts of the world
Time 10 minutes with additional time if you wish to discuss the answers afterwards

Equipment
A copy of the handout for each participant

Instructions
• Give everyone a handout and ask the participants to wander around the room and ask one another
for the information needed to fill in the boxes on their sheet.
• Names and any answers can be written in the appropriate boxes. If the group is of twelve
participants or more then names should only appear once on a sheet in order to ensure maximum
interaction.
• The first person to complete their sheet shouts 'BINGO!' and is the winner.
