COMPONENTS OF
THE COMMUNICATION PROCESS
(a)Source
The source initiates a message by encoding a
thought. The message is the actual physical product from
the source e.g. when we speak our speech is the message,
when we write our writing is the message etc.
(b) Encoding
It is the procedure by which the source translates
his thought or idea into a form which is understandable
by him.
(c) Cannel
Channel is the medium through which the
message travels e.g. air,telephone,internet etc.

(d) Receiver
It is the object to whom the message is directed.

(e) Decoding
Before the message can be received the symbols
in it must be translated into a form that can be understood
by the receiver, this procedure is called decoding.
(f) Feedback
It is the check on how successful we have been in
transferring our message, it determines whether
understanding has been achieved or not.

NON-ACTIVE Feedback:
The feedback which does not take any oral or
written form is termed as non-active feedback. It is often in
the form of body language.
