Abstract:
1. Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in QA Infotech usin
g OpenERP v6.0.1 :-
This is QAIT s in house project carried out under Mr. Amit Sandilya. It is targete
d to improve the workflow within the company, remove any bottlenecks in the curr
ent workflow, ensure proper invoicing of tasks carried out by the employees and
maintain a constant track of all the projects going on. The above-mentioned are
all part of implementing the OpenERP software within the company. Currently it i
s in development phase, as its various new features are being discovered. Also a
lot of customization needs to be done to suit QAIT s workflow.
2. Thomson Reuters Project: Smoke Testing using indigenous TAF Tool:-
This project of QAInfotech is for client Thomson Reuters. It is in testing phase
under Mr. Chetan Kathooria with smoke-test being the first part. This project t
ests the Spreadsheet add in, the Screener and other Analytical tools. All the da
ta is based on Reuters Fundamentals and IBES estimates. The Reuters Fundamentals
(RF) content includes all items from the primary financial statements such as a
company's income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Thomson Reut
ers IBES Estimates is a system that gathers and compiles the different estimates
made by stock analysts on the future earnings for the majority of U.S. publicly
traded companies. The Institutional Brokers Estimate System (IBES) database cur
rently covers over 41,000 companies and about 90,000 instruments.
