A subject of interest for many centuries for linguist has been on the marvelous capacity for

acquiring competences in one’s native language. The research in child.

First language acquisition has led foreign language teachers & teacher trainers to investigate
some of the general findings of such research to draw analogies between L1 & second language (L2)
acquisition, and to justify certain teaching methods & techniques on the basic of L1 learning
principles.

It provides an overview of theoritical positions in L1 acquisition, and a discussion of some


issues that are important for an understanding of L2 Learning.

Every child in normal developmental environmental, acquires his native language fluenty &
efficiently. Besides, he acquires it naturally without special instruction.

Parental Input

Parental input is parents intervation to their children, especially to child’s language acquisition.

Parent’s language in the child’s language acquisition plays an important role. The role of
parent’s language in child’s language acquisition is as immeasurably important as the parent’s
influence on the child cognitively & affectively

The children will react very consitenly to the deep structure & the communicative function
of language. They do not react overtly to gramatically corrections. Such input is mostly ignored
unless there is some truth or falsity which the child can attend to.
