1. Per the references, I request authorization to connect a Government

procured removable secondary hard drive to the NIPRNET. Specific information
follows:

b. MODEL: PN: 9W6044
c. Serial number: 4LJ0TQEY
d. Storage capacity: 160GB
e. Computer name that device will be connected to: 5100043667
f. 11th Marines Local Control Number: 106

2. Per the references, I agree that I will not connect any secondary storage
device that does not contain onboard physical write protection and file
access security to a CLASSIFIED computer. My device will be encrypted in
accordance with Ref (a).

3. I have read the Policy and MARADMINs governing the use of this type of
device and understand my responsibilities in safeguarding all information at
its appropriate classification level.

4. I understand that I am required to report the item listed in Number 1 to

my Chain of Command on a Monthly basis, and failure to do so will result in
immediate disconnection and confiscation of my hard drive.
