1) Working principle
The drum filter has a stainless steel sleeve which is imported from Germany used to filter small
particles and debris from water. The water flow into the inside of the drum where the dirt will be
intercepted by the sleeve. Then clean water flow into the clean water pond. After the
accumulation of small particles or debris come to a certain amount on the sleeve which will slow
the water flow through the sleeve.. The water level rise to the rated height, the rinsing water
pump and the drum will be started automatically.For rinsing the sleeves by a water level sensor,
the water with high pressure from muzzles can wash the sleeve and take the small particles and
debris to the collecting slot. When the water level is lower than rated height, the water rinsing
pump and drum will stop working automatically.

3) Instruction for Installation

1) The drum filter should be placed in a special pool with inlet and outlet pipes and valves and
there is draining sewage pipe and valve at the bottom of the pool.

2) There are five parts of the drum filter: bracket, drum, cover, rinsing system and switch board..
3) The power supply for the drum and pump is 415V.50Hz AC power. The operation of switch
box as following:
Open the main switch S1, switch S2, S3 ( switch S1,S2,S3 each of them has 3
positions:"manual" "off " "auto") are on "auto" position, water level control the rinsing water
pump; switch S2, S3 are on "stop" position then rinsing water pump stop working; when
switch S2, S3 are "manual" position then the switches control the rinsing water pump.( see
pic as follow)

4) The drum filter should be placed well in the pool. The rinsing water pump should connect to
the clean water after the drum filter.
5) There is not any leakage between clean water pool and sewerage pool.
6) Please remember that the rinsing water pump should be filled full with water when being
used for the first time. Otherwise the mechanical seal will be damaged.
7) The drum and rinsing system should be tested well, and make sure that the ejective water is
parallel to the axis of the drum then cover the drum filter.
8) The draining sewage should be open all the time.(see the picture as following)

5) Operation and use

a) The drum filter should run smoothly and without any noise by testing.
b) Check if the direction of impeller of the pump is correct, without water the pump can not run
more than 30 seconds.
c) Start the pump and observe the water level of the pool and the drum filter.
d) Adjust the inlet and outlet water to achieve the rated flow to the Max. 180m3/h.
e) When the water level rise to the rated height, the drive aseembling and rinsing pump start
automatically to make the drum move slowly. With high-pressure water for cleaning the sleeve
till most of the debris are took to collecting slot. When the water level is lower than the rated
height, the drive assembling and rinsing water pump will stop automatically.

f) The water level of the pool can not be lower than the rated lowest level or it will damage the
pump.
g) There is water level control switch which will stop the rinsing water pump when the water
level is lower than the rated lowest level and start when the water level is higher than the rated
highest.
h) Check the water level controlling switch often and if find any problem, just change it.
i) Prevent the water overflow or splash on the electrical equipment, in that case, power supply
and the machine must be stop and only can be restart after the elimination of the failure.
j) With the self-locking function of the driver assembling that ensure the drum stop at the right
position to facilitate the maintenance.

6) Note
1) The bearing should be lubricated regularly and can not be waterlogged, the lubricating oil
should be appropriated with the amount.
2) The installation of the nozzle should ensure the ejective water is parallel to the axis of the
drum.
3) The pump and the switch box can not be used outdoor where rain can reached.
