Background information

The subject father was a 44 years old, M.A, magistrate by profession. He was a short tempered person.
He was .Relation between subject and father was strained and there was no proper communication
between them Subject had many resentments toward her father because he has a second wife also and
now he was not providing financial and emotional support to subject’s family. Participant reported
strained relation with her father .

Mother of subject was metric pass 36 years old house wife. She was quite and calm by nature. Subject
was significantly attached to her mother. The relationship between mother and participant was
friendly .Mother had been very affectionate toward her children. she was striving a lot to fulfill all the
needs of her children Participant was extremely attached to her mother.

The Participant had 3 siblings’ two sisters, one bother. Participant was at 3rdborn

First born was her sister.12 years old student of class 9th.She was short tempered impulsive and confident
.Subject had satisfactory relations with her. she was reported to be controlling among siblings so there were
strained relations between client and her sister. There used to be small fights between as reported by the
mother. She had satisfactory relation with other members of family .

2nd born was client her self

3rd born was her sister of age 7 years she was student of class one. She was reported to be passive on introvert
type girl. She had close relation with the client .Client also preferred to spent time with her .she also has
satisfactory relations with others members of family.

The last born was her brother, 3 years old yet had not exposure to school. He was cold tempered and talkative.
Subject was very much attached to her brother and close relationship were reported between them. as he was
the only brother client preferred to cooperate with her brother

The subject belonged to lower middle class family with limited resources the subject was living in a
joint family system .Overall general home atmosphere was healthy although father figure was missing
and subject family was in crisis. But except father whole family shared a peaceful environment. When
father used to visit them environment became stressed. Over all family environment was supportive or
caring.
