The last few decades have witnessed great changes especially in the field of information
flow system. No organization with a growth prospective can afford to have an inefficient
information system. The MIS should be in fine tune with the current technological
advancement to facilitate in improving productivity and enhancing efficiency of the firm.
Tailoring Industry is not spared from using an efficient Information system in a quest to
remain competitive and to satisfy its clientele. It not only satisfies all the information
needs of managers, but helps the firm to fully utilize its capacity. Any organization
seeking to expand its operations and global reach can utilize MIS.
The key component of MIS in tailoring industry is that it should facilitate the firm to
align its operations and others business processes in sync with the customer
requirements and overcome the firm’s vulnerability to bring quick changes.
It is imperative for a large scale manufacturer dealing with both B2B and B2C operations
to be adaptable to satisfy both of them equally. Its operations are in tandem with their
requirements and the order size.
Again for such firms handling various operations starting from order taking, stock
control, accounting, packaging, delivery etc., MIS is proven to be extremely valuable.
