CONFERMENT OF ELIGIBILITY In line with our mandate of upholding the merit and fitness principle in the civil service, the CSC conducts civil service examinations for purposes of conferring eligibility to those who pass such examinations. Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) The examinee uses paper and pencil in taking the exam. The test questions are written in test booklet and the examinee answers the questions, using a pencil, by fully blackening the box that corresponds to his/her answer in the answer sheet. The PPT is conducted every four (4) months in CSC testing centers nationwide. A. Career Service Sub-Professional A Career Service Sub-Professional eligibility is conferred upon one who passes a Career service Sub-Professional examination. The said eligibility qualifies one to any First Level career service position in government and other related posts provided other qualifications to such position are met. First Level positions include clerical, trades, crafts, and custodial service positions, e.g. Accounting Clerk, Computer Operator, Artist Illustrator, HRM, Assistant, etc. Requirements: One (1) Valid Identification Card with photo and signature (e.g. postal ID, passport, school ID, Office ID, drivers license); Photocopy of the Valid Identification Card; Four (4) pcs. 1 x 2 (passport size ID pictures with name tag and with white background. Digitally enhanced or computer generated pictures are not accepted); and Examination fee of P350.00 only. Applications forms are available at the CSC Regional Office and in any CSC Provincial Offices.

Deadline for filing of the examination applications will be one month before each scheduled date of examination. B. Digitally enhanced or computer generated pictures are not accepted); and Examination fee of P350.00 only. Stenographer Examination This is the qualifying examination for Stenographer and related positions. An applicant who wants to take this examination should go to the nearest CSC Regional/Provincial Office for the examination schedule. In CSCRO8, this examination is conducted once every month, and information in this regard may be inquired from the Examination Services Division. Career Executive Service Officer The Career Executive Officer Examination (CEOE) is the unified examination system for the third or executive/managerial level of government service. Adopted jointly by the CSC and the Career Executive Service Board (CESB), the CEOE is a four-stage examination system composed of written test; assessment; interview (optional); and validation. The CEOE is conducted once every year. Passing the four-stage CEOE shall result to the grant of both the Career Executive Officer (CEO) eligibility conferred by the CSC and the Career Executive Service (CES) eligibility conferred by the CESB.
