of Disease Transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in Patients with Work Area Community Health Center in Loa Duri Regency Kutai Kartanegara Year 2011.. Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease that still remains a public health problem in the world, including Indonesia. World Health Organization in the Annual Report on Global TB Control 2003 claimed a third of Indonesia, including TB in the world rankings. The purpose of the study to determine knowledge, attitudes and actions preventing transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis disease in patients in the Work Area Community Health Center Loa Duri Regency Kutai Kartanegara Year 2011. The study was qualitative. Variable that is knowledge, attitude and action. The collecting data through in-depth interviews with in-depth interviews using a guide which is equipped with a tape recorder voice recorders and photo documentation. Records of interview transcripts created and analyzed with content analysis, while for the validity of using triangulation. Knowledge of prevention include the use of window glass penularanTB as lighting and air circulation, cleaning and drying the mattress in order to eliminate the smell of stale and dry damp or wet mattress, the use of reservoirs for saliva, sputum is not scattered at random and close the mouth when coughing habit to ethical propriety. For more positive attitude on the use of glass windows, cleaning and drying mattress, sputum shelters, shut up and negative habits in bed separation and segregation of cutlery. And action is to use glass windows, hanging bed, close the mouth when not using the shelter batukdan sputum, cutlery separation and segregation beds. Suggested to the health and related government officials to further improve public knowledge about the attitudes and knowledge of disease transmission prevention measures in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
