Practice Schedule Template

6:30 PM to 6:35 PM Coachs Introductions 6:35 PM to 6:55 PM Team Warm-Up Period Light Jogging
A Coach will lead the team around the field in a straight line, running the perimeter from the 50 yard line and around. When complete, players will form up into three lines of six.

Foot Work
With muscles warmed up, emphasis on footwork. Teams keep the same seven lines. Mark a 20 yard course. In groups of seven players perform: High Knees two repetitions Heel Ups two repetitions Crab Crawl two repetitions High Knees with Foreleg Extension (Frankenstein) two repetitions Carioca two repetitions Reverse Carioca player faces opposite direction two repetitions Shuffle two repetitions Forward sprint player sprints full speed two repetitions Backward Sprint player runs backward at full speed two repetitions

At the end of each repetition player walks back to the start and waits turn. Coaches provide feedback to players, as needed.

6:55 PM to 7:00 PM Quick Re-Hydration break

7:00 PM to 7:30 PM Position Skill & Fundamentals Development


Team broken into position groups each coach takes group of players to work with on drills.
Offense Off Line: Coach x 2 drills for the group lasting 10 minutes each. QB/Backs: Coach x 2 drills for the group lasting 10 minutes each. Group Period: Offensive Coaches Practice 1 to 2 plays over the 10 minutes. Defense Def Line: Coach x 2 drills for the group lasting 10 minutes each. Linebackers: Coach x 2 drills for the group lasting 10 minutes each. Group Period: Defensive Coaches Practice 1 to 2 plays over the 10 minutes.

7:30 PM to 7:35 PM Quick Re-Hydration Break 7:35 PM to 7:50 PM Kicking and Punting Team Activities 7:50 PM to 7:55 PM Quick Re-Hydration Break 7:55 PM to 8:20 PM Team Scrimmage 8:20 PM to 8:30 PM Conditioning
Team broken into two groups. Suicide Drill player touches first cone, races back to touch coach at original start line, player touches second cone, sprints back, player touches third cone, races back to end of line. Four cones each placed ten yards apart. A coach may demonstrate. Note that player much touch each cone. Non-winning team does a light jog around the perimeter of half the field.
