(1) The situation at Okina'iJa remained critical. Enemy
aircraft contimled to use airfields on Kyushu as staging bases en
rout e to Okif'lal'l3.
(2) Previous similar attacks had been hig):i1y successful
with the airfields and airfield installations bavin,.. been bombed l;ith
excellent to good results. The use of bombs uith delay tuzes gave
evidence of barassina the enemy and of hindering the staging of air
craft throueh these bases.
(3) As a result. enother series of attacks was planned
eg!liJult airfields on Kyushu aDd using V<U"iOU5 types of delay
fuzea in genEral.purpose bombs.

daily on various fields.
(b) The Enemy Ordir of Battle during this pEriod

(a) At most of the Kyusbu airfields, there "ere
