Judith A. Reisman, PhD, President Institute for Media Education

Dear Dr. Reisman, I wanted to let you know that your in-service training on January 11, 2011, "Why Our Current Sexual Crime Epidemic is Only Solved by Knowing Its History" was very well received by our Internet Crimes Against Children affiliates. Our audience included detectives, forensic examiners, and Prosecutors who specialize in these investigations. In fact, immediately after your presentation one of our detectives was able to connect your data with an important child molest case she was working on. Speaking for myself, the information you provided opened up a useful new method for targeting and identifying predatory pedophiles. I think you know that our prosecutor on the Greaves obscenity case credited your linguistic reading analysis of the accused pedophile's text as helping us avoid a long and expensive trial, since Greaves' speedy guilty plea resulted in his felony obscenity conviction. It was your expertise in this field that was the catalyst for Greaves' guilty plea. We hope to bring you and Commander Vernon Geberth back to team teach on his last book, Sex-Related Homicide and Death Investigation: Practical and Clinical Perspectives. As you co-wrote Chapter 1 in Commander Geberth's seminal work his use of your sexuality history findings are especially relevant to our work here in Polk County. Your research on Dr. Alfred Kinsey and the unfortunate impact it has had on Americans, brought to light a different, but important perspective of the relevance of the history of human sexual behavior. I support you and your research and hope you will accept our invitation to speak with us again. Sincerely yours, Lieutenant Steven P.
