Wood River Land Trust LTA Standard 8: Evaluating and Selecting Conservation Projects Tool

8H: Evaluating the Best Conservation

_______________________________________________
Practice 8H: Policy: Wood River land Trust works with landowners to evaluate and select the best conservation tool for their property and takes care that the chosen method can reasonably protect the propertys important conservation values over time. The Land Trust will inform the landowner of the array of feasible and realistic conservation options available, including those provided by other organizations and agencies, so that the landowner clearly understands his or her options. This process will ultimately determine the best conservation strategy for properties. The Landowner Questionnaire/Initial Meeting Outline (Appendix 8H.1) can be used to guide initial conversations with the landowner and help select the best conservation tool.
