Lathe How to Check Skip Signal on a Lambda10L

In case machine does not touch sensor but the skip signal is ON (beep sounds) 1. Press FR/BK -> F4 (SYSTEM) -> Select 2. DIAGNOSE -> Press INPUT ->Select 3. RELEVENT TO SERVO -> Press INPUT -> Press PAGE DOWN -> You will see RELEVENT TO SERVO 2/2 screen. 2. Check Skip Signal On diagnostic.

0 : Skip Signal already OFF. Try to touch sensor again, then check Skip Signal. 1 : Skip Signal is ON from Skip Board. Go to next step.

3. Check LED on skip board. LED ON or OFF.

All Skip Signal is OFF Skip board does not output signal. Go to step 4.

No.1 LED is ON Check No.1 sensor. (Normal Close) Go to step 5.

No.9 LED is ON Check No.9 sensor.(Normal Open) Go to step 5.

No.1 sensor (LED) ~ No.8 sensor (LED) is Normal closed (not touch skip off = close / touch skip on = open). No.9 sensor (LED) and No.10 sensor (LED) is Normal open (not touch skip off = open / touch skip on = open)

4. Check VID board.

4-1. Disconnect skip cable CN3 of VID board. 4-2. Check Skip signal on diagnostic screen. 0 = VID board is OK / 1 = VID board is No Good. 4-3. Turn off NC power. 4-4. Connect CN3-pin1 to 24V, CN3-pin2 to 0V by temporary cable. (24V and 0V is in terminal.) 4-5. Turn on NC power. 4-6. Check Skip signal on diagnostic screen. 0 = VID board is No good / 1 = VID board is Good. VID board is OK -> Change Skip board. VID board is No good -> Change VID board

5. Check skip input signal. Example1 : LED1 is ON. 5-1. Turn off NC power. 5-2. Connect CN1-pin1 to 24V, CN1-pin2 to 0V by temporary cable. 5-3. Turn on NC power. 5-4. Check LED1. ON = Skip board is No good / OFF = Skip board is Good. Example2 : LED9 is ON. 5-5. Turn off NC power. 5-6. Disconnect CN1-pin17. 5-7. Turn on NC power. 5-8. Check LED9. ON = Skip board is No good / OFF = Skip board is Good. Skip board is OK -> Change Skip sensor or Check Wiring to sensor. In case the machine is touching the sensor, but the skip signal is still OFF (Machine doesnt stop) 1. Press FR/BK -> F4 (SYSTEM) -> Select 2. DIAGNOSE -> Press INPUT ->Select 3. RELEVENT TO SERVO -> Press INPUT -> Press PAGE DOWN -> You will see RELEVENT TO SERVO 2/2 screen. 2. Touch hold sensor , then Check Skip Signal ON diagnostic.

0 : Skip signal still OFF. Go to next step. 1 : Skip signal is ON. from skip board. Skip signal turn on. No problem. Check NC program.

3. Touch hold sensor , then Check LED on skip board. LED light or dark.

All Skip signal is OFF Check sensor. Go to step 5.

No.1 LED is ON Skip board output signal. Go to step 4.

No.9 LED is ON Skip board output signal. Go to step 4.

No.1 sensor (LED) ~ No.8 sensor (LED) is Normal closed (not touch skip off = close / touch skip on = open). No.9 sensor (LED) and No.10 sensor (LED) is Normal open (not touch skip off = open / touch skip on = open) 4. Check VID board. 4-1. Disconnect skip cable CN3 of VID board. 4-2. Check Skip signal on diagnose screen. 0 = VID board is OK / 1 = VID board is No Good. 4-3. Turn off NC power. 4-4. Connect CN3-pin1 to 24V , CN3-pin2 to 0V by temporary cable. (24V and 0V is in terminal.) 4-5. Turn on NC power. 4-6. Check Skip signal on diagnose screen. 0 = VID board is No good / 1 = VID board is Good. VID board is OK -> Change Skip board. VID board is No good -> Change VID board

5. Check skip input signal. (Make sure of which sensor input number by wiring Diagram.) Example 1 : No.1 Sensor. 5-1. Turn off NC power. 5-2. Disconnect CN1-pin1. 5-3. Turn on NC power. 5-4. Check LED1. ON = Skip board is Good / OFF = Skip board is No good. Example 2 : No.9 Sensor. 5-5. Turn off NC power. 5-6. Connect CN1-pin17 to 24V , CN1-pin17 to 0V by temporary cable.. 5-7. Turn on NC power. 5-8. Check LED9. ON = Skip board Good / OFF = Skip board is No good. Skip board is OK -> Change Skip sensor or Check Wiring to sensor. Skip board is No good -> Change Skip board
