Motivation

Need to know hazards and safety procedure of the HZ in research

Objective
Identify dangers, safety procedure of the HZ during research and avoid accidents caused by it while reducing GO

Background

Hydrazine is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula N2H4. Hydrazine is highly toxic and dangerously unstable, and is usually handled as aqueous solution for safety reasons

Hazards of the HZ
1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Potential Health Effects Inhalation: Poison, corrosive to the respiratory tract Ingestion: Toxic, corrosive to tissues Skin Contact: Corrosive, contact dermatitis and skin sensitization may occur Eye Contact: Corrosive, vapors and liquid are destructive to eye tissue Chronic Exposure: Chronic and acute exposures may produce blood effects, liver and kidney damage. Suspect cancer hazard Fire and explosion Combustible: Contact with strong oxidizers may cause fire Explosion: Above the flash point, explosive vapor-air mixtures may be formed

1. 2.

Safety and Precaution Procedure for using HZ

Conclusion

HZ may cause negative impact to users health It can react with certain metal and chemicals, generate flammable and explosion Work safely
