Sabrina Salmon`s Five Year Plan

1. What are your personal goals Ior the next Iive years?

My personal goals include improving my Spanish speaking skills, beginning an action plan Ior
my husband and me to start our own business, and determining where we will live when we are
no longer an active duty military Iamily.

2. What goals do you have Ior strengthening your leadership skills?

Attending proIessional development events, working in a leadership role, and inviting Ieedback
Irom others will assist with strengthening my leadership skills. My desire is to become the type
oI leader whom others respect and know that I am doing what is best Ior the organization while
considering the interests oI all stakeholders.

3. What position do you plan to hold in Iive years?

Education assists with improving the quality oI liIe Ior individuals, Iamilies, communities, and
society. My goal is to become a Iacilitator to help our youth reach their personal and
proIessional goals. During the next Iive years, my immediate goals are to obtain an
administrator certiIication and secure a position in educational leadership. Then, I would like to
transition into a career as an educational consultant.

4. What do you plan to contribute to the Iield oI education in the next Iive years?

Education provides the tools Ior individuals to reach their Iull potential. Knowledge is a key that
can unlock the door out oI poverty. Learning reveals possibilities Ior individuals to establish
goals and expand their talents. My plan is to conduct research on school improvement strategies
and techniques that assist learning institutions with showing improvement and meeting or
exceeding annual goals. As a consult, I want to collaborate with organizations, school leaders,
parents, and student to determine options Ior creating growth in student achievement.

5. When thinking about your proIession, what do you value, and how do you plan to uphold
these values?

My values include using honesty and integrity to be consistent and do what is right even when
that is not the popular thing to do. I will uphold these values in the decision-making process.
First, I will ensure that I understand the policies and procedures that relate to a topic. Then, I
will consider the needs oI stakeholders and listen to individual ideas. Finally, I will make a
decision that involves being honest, consistent, and acting with integrity. I will continue to
reIlect on my experiences and determine Iuture strategies Ior improvement.
