Assignment 2: China and the Rest of the World, Part 2

Brief: In this assignment, you are expected to take a critical look at

your project “China and the Rest of the World, Part 1” and find
a way to develop your concept into a final outcome that
displays a high standard of finish.

Your work may take any form you like, but it may not repeat the
design solution applied in the previous assignment. For
instance, if your last design consisted of printed-matter, then
this design must be presented in a different medium. For
instance, you might put it into the context of space or reduce it
to a series of pictograms, etc... In terms of design objectives,
your project may be a direct continuation of your concept from
the last assignment, but you may also choose to re-evaluate
and modify your ideas. You should focus on both content
and form development.

You are expected to experiment. Accordingly, your research

should focus on contemporary design techniques and media.

Learning Outcomes: [A6.] Comprehend and analyse a range of examples of visual

communication that reflect a variety of sources and

[C7.] Demonstrate innovation and sophistication using a range
