edu PAID DESIGN AND BRANDING EXPERIENCE OFFERED THROUGH THE ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP CENTER SHIPPENSBURG, PAShippensburg Universitys Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC) is in need of a student consultant with proficiency in design. The ELC needs a consultant to develop a brand that incorporates its goals, mission and vision into a cohesive design and image. Also, the brand needs to be translatable into various media and other outlets. The Career Development Centers Interim Director Patty Gochenauer supports student involvement in consulting experience and says, Employers are looking for relevant experience because it connects class-work with work experience, and makes students more marketable. The student who is chosen will have the opportunity to help the ELC develop its brand, while earning money at an hourly rate. The flexible hours offered through the ELC ensure student consultants opportunities to work around their schedules. ELC Coordinator Dr. Patrick Byrne notes, The rapidly changing global economic environment requires employees to be innovative and approach their work, whether starting a business or developing their own unique career path, in an innovative and entrepreneurial way. This contest gives students practical experience developing those needed skills. Any student interested in applying can apply and submit his or her one page proposal by October 2 at midnight to elc@ship.edu. The proposal should include how you would approach the development of the ELCs brand and image.
