Context: introduction to Unit 4 “What time is it?” Telling the time and numbers 1-12

Teaching aids: Dialogues (CD), textbooks for bingo game

Learner objectives:
Students acquire knowledge of the language required
to tell the time and use it to participate in a game of
bingo.
Anticipated problems for students:
Numbers 11 and 12.. Also difficulties with order of 1-10
Solutions:
Lots of revision of numbers.
Personal Aims:
Better time management to allow all tasks to be completed
Anticipated problems for teacher: Tasks are too easy for
higher level students leading to boredom and
discipline problems
Solutions: Have a second level task for the more
advanced students ie Its time for lunch..etc.Have a
back up activity ie making clocks .

Students look at pictures on page 38 then they listen to
dialogues the language

Lets practice split class into groups for choral practice,
then partner activities
Activate 10mins S-S
Bingo game

Assign the homework exercises writing

Time filler students cut out and make their own clocks
for future lessons
