    Case Study

    Teacher A is teaching English in a barrio. She had 25 male students and 30 female students, every Monday and Friday most of the male students are absent. When the teacher had an exam the male students score less than the female students.

    1. Is the difference of the score significant?

    Yes it is significant, because the students who got less scores in their exam are males and most of them are absent on Mondays and Fridays.

    2. What should you do?

    The teacher should make an investigation why most of her male students are absent every Mondays and Fridays. After learning the reason why most of the male students are absent as the teacher should come up a plan on how to resolve that issue absences. The teacher also needs to use different method and styles of teaching in order for the students that are absent during Mondays and Fridays to be encourage to attend her class. If the absences of most male students are inevitable the teacher should focus on teaching during Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
