HOW TO ADD ACCENTS AND IN WORD (WIN)


Janette Diaz offers advice on adding accent marks and the enye () when writing in Spanish in a word document using Windows.

Adding accents and enyes automatically to words as you type: 1. Go to the Review tab, right click on Language and select Language Preferences. Select Spanish from the box with different language options.

OR
1. Go to the bottom of the page, where it shows the page numbers, number of words and the language. 2. Put the cursor over the language shown and then right-click. A box with different language selections will appear. Select Spanish. Adding the enye () individually: 1. Hold Alt and type in 164

OR

Hold Ctrl, hold Shift, press ~, and then press n.

Adding the accent marks individually: 1. Hold down Ctrl, press (the single quotation mark) and then follow it by pressing the letter you want to add the accent to (typically a vowel).
