This paper presents a unified theoretical method for the calculation of the radio capacity of multiple-access schemes. In a fading multipath environment, which is typical for mobile radio applications, there are significant differences between multiple access schemes. The theoretical equivalence of FDMA, TDMA, CDMA and SSMA is found for AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise) channels.
