    The DISABILITY RIGHTS LEGAL CENTER is investigating students with disabilities’ experiences with charter schools. In particular, we are interested in information about the schools’ admission processes and about the ability of charter schools to meet the needs of students with disabilities. We are interested in speaking with any parents who are or who have experienced the following issues: • you were discouraged from applying to a charter school on behalf of your child because he or she has a disability and/or is an on Individualized Education Program (IEP) • your child was not accepted into a charter school because he or she has a disability and/or is on IEP • you wanted your child to attend a charter school, but were discouraged from applying because the charter school didn’t have the required classes and/or related services • your child is attending a charter school, but you are being recommended a non-charter school placement because the charter school doesn’t have the required classes and/or related services to keep your child there. If you are facing or have faced any of the above issues, we would be interested in speaking with you to get more information and to see if we can assist you.
