Taught Science 8 and 9, and Math 8 in a fully immersive practicum, taking on the full teaching load of a regular teacher for six weeks Used technology in class such as: SMART boards, Easy grade pro, moodle, d2l, power point, blogging, and youtube to enhance learning Assisted outside of school hours to supervise school dances, volunteered to facilitate the Riverwatch fieldtrip Helped run Eco-league: a weekly club focused on environmental issues and raising ecological awareness throughout the community Established strong rapport with students as well as staff Secondary Biology/Foods Fall 2010 - Winter 2011 Rundle Academy College High School - Calgary, Alberta Taught Biology 20 and 30 in a school that caters to students with diagnosed learning disabilities that required a high level of organization and differentiation to accommodate individual learning needs Introduced abstract concepts in diverse ways that were entertaining and comprehensive Taught a foods option class which empowered students in the kitchen environment, teaching them kitchen skills and recipes to cook full meals.
