Invitation for public debate and promotion of three short video clips on the subject: "Security and interethnic

coexistence in high schools in Skopje"


The Center for Research and Policy (CRPM) invites you to the public debate entitled "Security and interethnic coexistence in schools in Skopje" which will be held on December 27, 2011 (Tuesday) in the hall of the Council of the City of Skopje, starting at 12:00 pm. The event aims to raise the issue of security in mixed multi-ethnic high schools before the expert and the general public and to promote three short videos on the topic of coexistence and common values in the mixed high schools in Skopje. These videos are filmed by high school students from the schools that were involved in the project and are clear example of multicultural tolerance and joint activities between students from different ethnical bachground. The public debate is part of the project "Promotion of common values in schools," which aims to promote and foster multi-ethnic values in mixed secondary schools in Skopje through joint work on short films with themes non-violent resolution of conflicts. The project involved students from the following schools: Zdravko Cvetkovski, Lazar Tanev, Cvetan Dimov, Arseni Jovkov and Zef Lush Mark. The students had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge for working with video as a medium which can promote coexistence in their schools through training . These videos will be used for further promotion of the coexistence in schools in Skopje. The project is implemented by the Centre for Research and Policy Making, in partnership with Cre8tive8 Youth Media Production and it is funded by the city of Skopje. With this letter I would like to invite you on this event and encourage you to actively join in the discussion.
