My ambition in life
An ambition or wish or aim is the greatest motivation force that determines the course of ones life. Life without incentive is like a desert where no flowers bloom. It is the guiding principle of life that gives us inspiration and urges us to head towards our destination or goal of life. Robert Browning says, The aim preached or not, makes great life. successes in life are not like windfalls they are achieved through honest labour and perfect devotion to ones ideal. Man himself is the maker of his destiny as Bacon said, The mould of a mans fortune is in his own hands. When a man does not know what harbour he is making for, no wind is the right wind. There are as many aims as men. A man can be an officer, doctor, engineer, politician, lawyer, business man, artist, journalist, etc. People chose their career according to their abilities, needs and aptitude. Likewise my ambition in life is to be a teacher. And I have good reasons for the choice of my profession. Teaching is the profession most liked by Allah. There is a saying of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), The best amongst you are those who are either teachers or students. He (PBUH) has always emphasized to gain or impart knowledge. He (PBUH) himself is the Mullah e Azam. So its the noblest of all jobs. People in this profession can serve the nation in the best possible manner. Educating the existing generation is in fact paving the way to succeeding prosperity of the homeland Teachers are the people, who give enlightenment to others; who launch a crusade against ignorance; and who are the makers of the destiny of the nations. A teacher is like a lamp spreading light that shows the path to those who are finding their way in a pith of darkness. A teacher is a ladder which remains at the same place but helps others to ascend higher and higher. . Teaching is the profession which is the bases of all the other professions in this world. It is said that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. Similarly the brain that produces genius and intellectuals, administrators, rulers, doctors, engineers, patriots, soldiers, scientists, etc also rules the

hearts and minds of the people. So instead taking a technical calling, it is better to be an engineer maker, a doctor maker, a soldier maker etc. Great teachers have always achieved an immortal niche in the temple of fame. Aristotle, Socrates and Plato are the greatest teachers of their time. Their ideas, doctrines and works have deeply influenced every sphere of life and people still deriving inspiration and light out of their work. There is a famous saying that if you educate a boy, you educate only a person but if you educate a girl; you educate a whole family. Napoleon once said, Give me good mothers and I will give you good nation. There are always great women behind the success of great men. As I will teach the girls, so I would have the chance to serves many families of my beloved country as Pakistan can prosper and develop only when its literacy rate increases. I am fully satisfied with my aim and it perfectly suits my taste and disposition. I realize that such a noble ambition demands a perfect devotion, perpetual labour, and constant hard work; I cherish the hope that I would be able to become a beacon of light for others and could render my services to the coming generation. May Allah help me achieving my goal, Ameen! Faithfully kept, is as a noble deed, In whose pure sight all virtue succeeds.
