Nabalig/ Baalig kundali [Adolescent / Mature horoscopes] Pt Bhooshan Priya

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lalkitab_remedies/

This is a very useful concept. As a practicing non-professional I keep using it very often. I keep getting requests from the worried parents that their child is having health problems or losing interest in studies, or lack of concentration, or is getting belligerent. In such cases this concept becomes very helpful in analyzing and suggesting upaya.

What makes a horoscope nabalig/adolescent ?

[ 1 ] The book says that if the Kendra houses [ 1,4,7,10] are not occupied or there is only one planet, which is either mercury, or Saturn, or Rahu , or ketu it will be considered as a nabalig / adolescent horoscope.

Remember just one planet should be in the Kendra houses.

[ 2 ] My addition : The book does not say so

If any of the Kendra house is occupied by the Masnuyee components of either mercury, saturn, Rahu or Ketu, I consider that also as a nabalig horoscope. This is my addition others might have reservation about it. Once again the Masnuyee component of any of the above planets should be in the Kendra houses

[ 3 ] I consider all horoscopes as nabalig up to the age of 12 years.

[ 4 ] A horoscope adjudged as nabalig as per # 1 above, will continue to be considered as nabalig up to the age of 36 years. In the Varsh Phal table given in the 1941 edition the house effective for nabalig horoscope is mentioned up to the age of 36 years. Some people argue that a horoscope should be considered as nabalig only up to the age of 21

years. In my opinion the age 21 years mentioned in the book [ 1940 ed page 19; line # 1 ] is in the context of the lines on the palm and not about the horoscope.

A horoscope will not be considered as nabalig, in spite of fulfilling the criteria stated in # 1 above, if it fulfills either of the following conditions. :

Baalig kundali / Mature horoscope

[ a ] The sun in either 1st, 5th, or the 11th house. [ b ] The mercury in the 6th house. [ c ] After the year the sun gets to the Lagna in the varsh phal horoscope.

In other words the horoscope will be baalig [ adult ]

The planets, as and when occupy the Lagna in the Varsh Phal horoscope, after that those planets will be considered as balig [ mature/ adult ]

The book gives a table as to the planets situated in which house will have a dominant role till the age of 12 years. For example the table says that in the first year it will be the planet/s situated in the 7th house will be dominant; second year it will be the planet/s situated in the 4th house and so on. In case there is no planet in these houses then the rasi lord of the house should be considered.

The same cycle can be used till the age of 36 years in the case of a nabalig horoscope.

There is another table in the book which explains as to which planet will be a dhoke ka grah [ planet of deceit ] in which year; this table is known as dhoke ka 12 sala chakra [ 12 year cycle of deceit planets ]. This table says that the first year it will be the Sun, the second year the moon; third year the Ketu and so on.

Do not confuse this table with another table meant to identify the planet of deceit. This table is a 12 year cycle table where as the other one is not.

In my experience I have found these two tables very helpful specially in dealing with the problems of the children below the age of 12 years.

A native with a nabalig horoscope, even if he is past 36 years, should be advised that he should always consult some one he trusts before embarking upon any special project.
