A. Background of Study Translation has always been important in the history of written language and has played a decisive role in the historical development of many languages and literatures. Still, it is probably no exaggeration to say that it has never been more widespread and significant as a communicative activity than in todays information society, and there is no reason to believe that importance will diminish. In new and old types of communication media, texts of various kinds are written and/or spoken and quite often translated, by man or machine, in spoken or written form, to be made available to new readers in various forms printed and published, on screen, on paper, etc. All kinds of texts are translated: serious and not-so-serious literature, language for specific purpose for specialists and for general public , spoken and written texts, well-written texts and texts poor quality. Vocabulary and words meaning is one of most important language components, which has to be mastered and acquired by the students in learning a new language. By learning vocabulary and words meaning, the students will be able to communicate in English. Whenever we want to communicate with other

people using a language, we should have mastered a stock of words related to the topic. It is true, that whenever we think of language and language learning, we usually think of mastering the vocabulary and words meaning. Experienced English teacher knows very well how important vocabulary and words meaning is. The learner cannot progress far on the road to independent use of the language until is basic pattern of phonology, grammar, and lexis become so established that he can stop worrying about such matters as tense usage or word order. Most of students, who learn foreign language, have difficult when they have to translation. Not only in speaking, reading, and writing too. When the students are faced with foreign language lesson, then they must be able to of the meaning of the language. For most students in country Indonesia it is quite difficult, because English is a foreign language and its different in Malaysia and other Asian countries. English utterance must be directly associated equivalents in the mother tongue. It is in the light of these goals that we should assess the contribution, if any of translation, whether as a technique or as a skill to be mastered. In our everyday teaching of language, or language-related activities in the classroom we can take advantage of above research. Through even such a brief

overview, it is clear that instructors who use concrete example. How to introduce creativity into their introduce activities and offer students opportunities to achieve success frequently, are offering interesting and beneficial experiences for their students. As an example of writing exercises useful to students, which purpose at reducing the gap between a native speaker and translation students, the following has proven successful in improving both language competences and business writing proficiency of student translators. It would be plausible to expand on this sample in a variety of ways by asking students to translate an already wellwritten e-mail and to compare the English version. The instructors creativity and desire to fulfill the objective of supplying opportunities for students to feel comfortable in the use of their prime tool, language, are the only boundaries. Mother tongue in schools in Indonesia more dominating, each subject is presented using mother tongue. So no wonder the students deal difficulties when they have to translate a foreign language. When students are required to translate a foreign language, then first they must be able to enrich vocabulary. Most students in Indonesia easily imitate a foreign language, although they do not understand what they are saying. Even the language of America and English slunk quickly to them memorized.

Music is an universal in human culture. All culture on this planet have music. Language and communication are also universal. Before the written word, stories of war and odes of praise were passed along from tribe to tribe by song. The song also reinforced the grammatical structures be taught in class. The foreign language teacher uses music often to reinforce the grammatical structure and cultural knowledge being imparted, the anthropologist uses music regularly to represent a slice of culture and the second language acquisition specialist did not use music at all but feels it should be used to study the theme of the song. The students can quickly the memorized music and poetry that in foreign language. But when asked what the meaning of the song, or meaning of the words of the song, they just answer in essence just do not understand the meaning of the word-for word from the song lyric. While in education they should be able to translate from mother tongue into foreign language or vice versa foreign language support to the mother tongue. So, this is the reason why the researcher will use lyric song to enhance the ability to translate a foreign language or vice versa because the lyric song is very preferred students in Indonesia.
