A message from Amadeus

Dear Travel Partner, Amadeus is the leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry. In the year 2011, Amadeus has implemented nine distribution agreements with low-cost carriers to improve travel agents access to the inventory, schedules and fares; accounting to more than 74 million seats sold annually by those airlines.

Noteworthy, that the two thirds of the international bookings of airlines on the Amadeus system are made by travel agencies and on average the yield per net booking is 66% higher in the travel agency channel than it is in the airline website. And the total bookings on low-cost carriers by travel agencies using Amadeus has increased by 21% in the first half of 2011 compared with the first half of 2010.

As a part of Amadeus agreements with low-cost carriers, we are glad to announce that fly dubai (FZ) has become an Amadeus Participating Carrier. Now you can have an immediate booking confirmation at segment sell time, and a real time sales reporting to the fly dubai inventory system. It is important to notice that fly dubai isnt yet a BSP participant in Egypt, hence it is only ticketable when it participates in the itinerary with any other carrier having an e-ticketing interline agreement with. Accordingly as shown in the below example Emirates is the only validating carrier for FZ as they have an e-ticketing interline agreement with each other and the booking includes EK segment,. The same conditions apply on the following fly dubai destinations: {AHB, YNB, ALP, MCT, JIB, DOH, EBL, ELQ, KBL, PZU, DAM and ISU}

Moreover, it is available in all Amadeus pricing tools e.g.: Amadeus All Fares & Amadeus Master Pricer Expert, etc.. Please find below illustration where you can see that FZ is proposed in the first recommendation as the cheapest option:

Please dont hesitate to contact us for any further clarification.
