My Favorite Topics from 2011: Face Tattoos, Pit Bulls & Defiant Teens
By Greg Rickabaugh Publisher Heres some of my favorite topics from the last year: UNATTENDED CHILDREN: We told you in March about the zero-tolerance philosophy that Richmond County authorities were taking for unattended children. They arrested several moms in the spring for leaving their children in cars for just minutes, including one who left a 4-yearold son in the car for 10 minutes at the Augusta Mall. She said she was just running inside to get the family some dinner from the Food Court and her son had no shoes. That woman told The Jail Report she made a stupid, clumsy mistake. Thank you Jesus for lessons learned, she said. YOU CAN LEAVE: In June, I wrote a column to address those who complain about feeling unsafe in their neighborhoods. Why not leave? I know its not always easy, but I have lived in six different cities in my lifetime and keep running into people who are miserable where they live. Why not look on a map, find a better place and move there? Start over. Sometimes, crime, bad neighbors or even negative influences on your children should force you to consider changing your address. There are so many other places or neighborhoods that would welcome you with open arms. BLOOD BOIL: Over the summer, I wrote about five things that make my blood boil: (1) Copper thieves, (2) Meth heads with kids, (3) Bad cops, (4) Uncooperative people, and (5) Poor parents who bring children into the world and then abuse them, abandon them or dont support them. We asked you what made your blood boil, and you said: older guys with younger girls, repeat offenders who drive drunk, animal cruelty, women beaters and crime witnesses who wont snitch. CAN KIDS PLAY ALONE? We started an interesting debate in the fall by asking if you would let your kids play outside alone. I didnt see the big deal since I played alone as a child with no problems. My wife said she would never want our daughters to play outside by themselves. Almost 90 percent of you agreed with her. Too dangerous. Too risky. Too many horror stories. I suppose that was the tragic lesson of the Kennan OMailia case in North Augusta when child serial killer William Downs grabbed the boy while he played alone and then raped and killed him.

Publisher...................................................Greg Rickabaugh Managing Editor...........................................Clint Alexander Graphics Editor................................................Chad Hamed Staff Writer.........................................................Amy Swann Columnists................Kenneth Perry, Rodney Quesenberry & Helen Blocker-Adams Circulation....................................................Bradley Owens Operations................................................Josh Rickabaugh The Jail Report is a weekly publication created by Rickabaugh Publishing, LLC. It is sold in Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, Burke & Edgefield counties. Local mugshots in this issue are of people who have been arrested in those counties, usually within the last week to 10 days. Mugshots and charges come directly from the sheriffs offices. Mugshots do not indicate guilt. They are simply a record of the charge made by law enforcement. Suspects pictured or named are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. We are unable to print every arrest. We do NOT take requests or payment for mugshots to be kept out.

FACIAL TATTOOS: In January, we asked whether you thought facial tattoos could affect future job opportunities since several mugshots showed men with multiple facial tattoos. Some of you said potential employers had a right to judge people with facial tattoos while one reader said it wasnt fair to be judged by them. My personal opinion: You have the freedom to tattoo your face; employers have the freedom not to hire you because of it. PIT BULLS: Boy, did we open a can of worms when we posted a story online about a child being killed by a pit bull in North Carolina. The Jail Report asked if all pit bulls should be put to death. The responses were 4 to 1 against killing them. Not only that, pit bull owners flooded our Facebook page with pictures of them and their children with pit bulls. Amy Lynn Phillips posted a picture of her young daughter on the couch with her pit bull and asked, Can you really tell me this pit bull is mean? In the end, our readers said, Punish the deed, not the breed. DEFIANT TEENS: A 15-year-old Butler High student turned up at MCG in January with broken bones and told authorities that his mother had run over him with her SUV when he refused to apologize to a teacher or surrender his cell phone. The arrest of mother Keisha Brown Henry sparked an online debate about how to handle defiant teens. Surprisingly, most readers sympathized with the mom. One reader said violence only teaches kids how to be violent. Another fan said, Beating him down may keep him out of jail later. MONEY FOR HOMELESS? In September, I drove right past a guy holding a sign that said he needed money. I wrote about the guilt I felt. But the Salvation Army confirmed my thoughts that we shouldnt give money to men with signs. If you truly feel someone is hungry, direct them to a soup kitchen, a rep said. You are dealing with addictions and you never know where the money is going. Many of you said there are better avenues for our charity than a random person on the side of the road.

Burke County Mugshots

We have made the decision to drop Burke County mugshots from our publication beginning this week. DUI - CSRA
Woman Tries Out New Name & Birthdate with Law
It was a bit early for New Years Eve celebrations, but a driver on U.S. 1 appeared to already be in the spirits. Another driver called the North Augusta Department of Public Safety to report that a truck had almost hit the rear of his vehicle and the driver was speeding up and then slowing down as she traveled in the middle of the road. The woman finally ran off the road at Carolina Springs and an officer was there to speak with her. Sgt. Eric Schafer reported that the womans speech was slurred and her behavior was very slow and methodical. The woman told the officer her name was Brandi Burnette and her date of birth was in July 1985. When she was asked her age, she replied 85. She was asked her date of birth again. This time she gave a date in August of 1989 and said she was 21 years old. The officer advised her shed been stopped for possibly driving under the influence. The woman, who was actually Brandy Dawn Green, 29, of Trenton, said she hadnt been drinking, but she had taken a couple of sleeping pills, the report said. She fared poorly on the field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, giving false information to law enforcement and driving under suspension. She was taken to the hospital for a blood/urine test and then booked into the Aiken County Detention Center, the report said.

Sometimes you get a combination of all of these, Sgt. Whitehead says. There are so many personalities out there, and so many reasons why people do the things they do. You get people who are out of work and drink all day because theyre depressed. You get your straightup alcoholics. You get your celebrants. In no way does that imply driving under the influence increases on holidays, adds Deputy Gates. That is a misconception many people have. This is not a holiday or a weekend problem. Another misconception is that driving under the influence means drunk driving only. Driving under the influence is anything that affects your ability to drive properly, including illegal and prescription drugs. On most medicine bottles, when appropriate, it clearly states not to operate machinery while taking the medication. If you get pulled over by a member of the task force, and the officer detects any signs of impairment from alcohol or drugs or both, you can expect several things to happen. You will be asked to exit the vehicle, and the Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFT) will be administered. The test involves three separate tasks. The first task is the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test or HGN. The officer will be checking for involuntary jerking of the eyes. As you drink or become more impaired, the eyes tend to jerk around involuntarily. Sgt. Whitehead says it is a proven method to show reduced ability to operate a motor vehicle, and is used by law enforcement agencies throughout the country. Next is the walk and turn. Placing your left foot first, you take nine steps forward, heal to toe, turn with your hands at your sides, and walk back. The test is always

The Silver Bullet:

administered the exact same way, left foot first, so results are measurable and there are no discrepancies. The last test is the one leg stand where you are asked to hold out your left leg for 30 seconds. If you complete all three tasks to the officers satisfaction, you will be sent on your way. If not you will be read the implied consent notice, arrested, off to jail you go. The implied consent notice requires you to submit to a state administered chemical test of either your blood, breath, or urine to determine if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you refuse, your license will be suspended for one year. If you consent to take the test and you have .08 grams or more of alcohol in your system, then its really on. In addition to losing your license, you must make bail or sit in jail until you go to court. You will be responsible for court costs, attorneys fees if you hire one, fines, probation costs, increased insurance premiums, the extra cost to get your license back, and possible jail time for repeat offenders.

Pot Shipment from Atlanta Seized Here

Richmond County narcotics investigators seized more than two pounds of weed Friday morning after following a lead that a man known as Easy would be bringing the pot from Atlanta to a Telfair Street address. After monitoring text messages between Easy, who was identified as Ezana Kassu, and a source, the officers set up surveillance on Telfair Street. They were there when Kassu, 21, and Abdisa LoLo, 20, pulled into the driveway of the Telfair Street home, a Richmond County Sheriffs report said. Officers approached the car, which smelled strongly of marijuana, and found a green bag in the back seat with three bags containing multiple sandwich bags of pot that weighed 1,133.3 grams, the report said. Kassu, of Atlanta, and LoLo, of Stone Mountain, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and were being held in the Richmond County Jail on $13,400 bond each, according to booking reports.

Inmate Tied to Peeping Case
A DNA match of fluids from outside an Aiken womans home was used to track down a Peeping Tom who had been lurking outside her home for years. On Friday, Arthur Frazier, 41, was brought back to Aiken from a Columbia jail and now faces a new charge of Peeping Tom, a crime he has been charged with before. The latest arrest comes after an Aiken woman reported to officers in August 2010 that her dogs were barking at the bedroom window and the next morning forehead prints were found on the window and fluid had stained the screen. The fluid was swabbed for evidence. The woman said shed had a problem with a peeper from 2006 to 2008 but it stopped until 2010. After cop got a hit on the DNA, they arrested Frazier, who denied being there but then admitted he might have been there looking for grills to steal.

Angry Woman Curses & Bullies Officer at Scene
Wednesday night was a bad time for Annie Laura James to pick a fight with a North Augusta Public Safety officer. But thats what the 47-year-old woman did as Officer Mark Warchol was working to help other units that had responded to a call on the 400 block of Bradleyville Road, a Public Safety report said. James walked up and demanded to know what was happening. The officer asked her to calm down, but that just fired her up. James told the officer that they needed to get this f**king place under control and do our f**king jobs. Officer Warchol asked James to watch her language and to leave the area, but James wasnt done. She said this place (is) out of control and that is why that cop in Aiken got f**king shot and I am surprised that we have not been shot yet. Man f**k this bulls**t, she added, according to the report. Thats when the officer advised her she was under arrest and took her arm. James tried to pull away turning in circles as the officer held on. She was told several times to put her hands behind her back. Another officer assisted in taking James to the ground to be handcuffed, but that prompted a large crowd to gather around the officers yelling for her to be let go. James was handcuffed and was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, the report said.

A 20-year-old Warrenville man was arrested Friday morning on charges of committing a sexual act on a child. Demetrius Ware, of Waterloo Place, was charged with two counts of committing or attempting a lewd act on a child, according to a report from the Aiken County Sheriffs Office. Ware was first brought to the attention of authorities in August. A woman had left

When the woman picked up her child, she knew that something was wrong and after much prompting, the child said that Ware told her to take her shirt off. She said that he then had sex with her, the report said. Even more disturbing was that the child told her mother the elderly woman knew what was happening, but did nothing to stop it, the report said. At the time of the August report, the responding officer did not interview the victim because of her age. Instead, the case was turned over to juvenile investigators, the report said.

Wednesday the 8th, 4:30PM The illegal drug trade is believed to have claimed yet another life in the shooting death of Lawrence K. Singleton. The 21 year old man was murdered over what cops say was a dispute over drug territory. Jermaine Mitchell has been charged as the trigger man. Thursday the 16th, 9:41PM Marquette Woods was just hanging out when a home invasion/robbery occurred in the Aragon Dr. residence of his friend. Shots were fired with one bullet finding the victim in just the worst way. Three men have been charged in the crime, which has been described as bad people hitting a bad place, with bad intentions. Sunday the 19th, exact time unknown In a case that had investigators initially stumped, Evelyn Walker Bell was discovered dead in her residence by deputies conducting a welfare check when she failed to show up for work. The 46 year old woman was in her own bed, and the first autopsy was inconclusive as to cause of death. Evidence at scene indicated that someone vandalized her residence with paint, while she was dead on the bed. It took a second autopsy (the first time in Sheriff Ronnie Strengths memory that one was needed in such a matter) to show she had in fact been strangled to death. With that, officers charged her boyfriend, convicted felon Timothy Davis, with her murder.

MARCH
Friday the 18th, 9:11PM: 18 year old William Justin Bullard was attending a neighborhood party and according to reports, decided to have some mean spirited fun at the expense of 16 year old Dylan McDonald. Little did he know the younger teen, whom he had bullied on previous occasions, was having none of it. McDonald reportedly shot and killed Bullard, and his mother was also charged in the case, apparently as she was attempting to cover for her son.

Friday, the 6th, 11:20PM Johnnie Luckey was an 81 year old retiree who had lived in his small Hepzibah home for just short of 50 years. Police say four young men, one of whom is related to Luckeys cleaning lady, shot the man through a window while he watched TV. Severely injured, but not dead, one of his assailants finished the job shooting him at point blank range when he was unable to tell them the location of his hidden cash. There was no such stash. Luckey is one of the few murder victims of 2011, who was not engaged in high risk behavior, or a friend or relative of his killers, at the time of his death. Saturday the 14th, 12:22AM 23 year old Angelo Quinn Daggett had recently been released from prison when he was shot in the back in the wee hours of the 14th, in the back of Building Y at the infamous River Glen Apartments. While the unknown suspect remains at large, investigators say given the time and location of the crime, and habits of the victim, it was likely he was not doing missionary work at the time Death called. Saturday the 16th, 11:36PM Police say it was a neighborhood feud that erupted in the 3400 block of Aspen Court when dozens of thugs crashed a private party. Sunday the 9th, 3:09 AM Police say 29 year old Buchanan Marshal, a resident of Flowery Branch, Ga. was looking for cocaine in the vicinity of Cooney Circle when he found his ultimate demise at the hands of suspected dealers Mikell Thomas (15 years old, no less) and Chad Walker. And they say tourism is dead in Augusta. Wednesday the 12th, 11:58PM It was a clash of known bad dudes with Kevin Evans coming up short just before Midnight during a confrontation with convicted felon Derek Johnson. Evans leaves this earthly realm just 21 years old. Gang activity, drug deals, general nastiness... take your pick. One dead, one in jail...both gone forever, either way. Wednesday the 19th, 1:36AM No arrests have been made in the home invasion and assassination, as some have called it, of William Carter. As Augustas 20th homicide of the year, Carters killing was believed to be related to less than savory business dealings with less than savory associates. Sunday the 23rd, 1:18AM Much has been said and written about the tragic death of Richmond County Deputy J.D. Paugh. His senseless killing at the hands of a highly intoxicated soldier remains a mystery in many ways, since the killer committed suicide seconds after ending the life of the popular officer. unsolved murders, in the deadliest month of 2011, Terell Calloway, described as a homeless man with bad habits, was found shot to death on Golden Camp Road, near Hawthorne Drive. Tuesday the 13th, 12:14AM 47 year old Ronald Irvin was very popular in his neighborhood. At first glance, the former soldier and law enforcement officer (he was a jail guard in Richmond County) was a good looking man with lots of friends. But according to his former public safety associates, Irvin was also a drug dealer who apparently stepped on the wrong toes. He was killed in his own house, and the unknown assailant remains at large. 6:37PM The second murder of the day saw 19 year old Webster Thacker, known to authorities as someone who often kept time with the wrong kind of people in the wrong kinds of places. The former football star at Glenn Hills High School was shot during an argument with another known thug, 24 year old Ervin Jackson. Friday the 23rd, 8:52PM Augustas final murder of 2011 remains unsolved, but it epitomizes so many of the horrific killings we saw as a city during this year, and many other years: A thug life often ends in a thug death. Even though Tyronne Parrish was trying to straighten out his life, even his own family acknowledged in media interviews that he had spent years behaving in a way that would earn him nothing but very dangerous enemies who had no problem acting on their base emotions. Parrish was shot as he arrived home, in what police believe was a targeted action, based on prior activity and habits. Austin Rhodes is the host of Augustas longest-running radio talk show, heard weekdays on Newstalk 580 WGAC.

AUGUST
Monday the 1st, 10:15 AM How many times have you heard a woman complain that these high heel shoes are KILLING me! ? Well, 58 year old Robert Frank Higdon got to understand that in a tragic sense after running afoul of his live in girlfriend Thelma Carter. That is a morning the neighbors at Augusta Mobile Home Estates say they wont soon forget. Authorities say the woman beat him to death with a stiletto. Seriously. Wednesday the 3rd, time unknown In one of the years most unusual cases, homeless drug addict Earl Bolar was attacked as he slept on the floor of a Richmond County holding cell by fellow inmate Jeremy Taylor. Described by those who know him as a seriously screwed up and mean S.O.B., Taylor had no beef with Bolar. The victim was attacked on the 3rd, but actually died on August 17th.

SEPTEMBER
Thursday the 15th, 1:53AM 26 year old Ashley Brown was a young woman who loved music and dancing, and no doubt was looking for both at Club 5150 on that fateful night. A fight at the club between rivals had ended earlier, but when one group returned as Brown was standing just outside the door, she was hit in a drive-by shooting that targeted no one in particular. 19 year old Dachaveous Murphy has been charged in the crime, that has brought all kinds of pressure on local politicians to close what some call a notorious and dangerous nightclub. Later that same night, in an unrelated attack, at approximately 11:13PM homeless veteran Michael Coleman was found brutally stabbed and bleeding to death in the gutter near the corner of Jenkins and Tuttle Streets. Authroities have charged Sean Mosely with his death, in what Mosely himself has described as a drug

NOVEMBER
Sunday the 20th, 4:36AM The murder of 36 year old Lawrence Moore may go unsolved forever. All that is known is that he was shot in the middle of the night, in a vacant lot, on Essie McIntyre Blvd. Bad time to be in a bad place, no doubt.

For the most part, if you live a clean life and steer clear of dangerous relatives, the chances you are going to be murdered in Augusta are slim to none.

This was Take 1 for Ronnie Howard after his June 11 arrest in Augusta for disorderly conduct. Jail staff made him retake the photo, but not before this was posted online. Howard, 63, was previously jailed for assaulting two Butler High Junior ROTC cadets outside Imperial Theatre, and the homeless man was arrested 5 more times after this one.

Denvanqwez Burley, 21, is one of two men who allegedly walked out of Sprint convenience store in Augusta in January without paying for three cases of beer. Then Burley had the nerve to return to the store two days later. So an employee called the sheriffs office, and deputies came and arrested him for shoplifting.

Mary Allen, 35, was arrested in August for allegedly entering a vehicle to commit theft. A deputy stumbled upon Allen inside a car that the cop knew was someone elses. Allen was going through the glove box when the officer asked her if everything was OK. She tried to distract the officer by asking him if that was his dog. It didnt work.

Chrisilee Barton is the woman who survived a knife attack by Reinaldo Rivera in 2000 and went on to identify the serial killer and stop his attacks. Its been over 10 years since then, and it appears Chrisilees life has spiraled out of control. Now 28 years old and living in Warrenville, she was arrested in January in a drug sting.

Eric Abney, 21, of Trenton, S.C., was arrested in February on a Saturday night by security at the Augusta Mall. Authorities say he was fighting with another individual and was told to leave the mall but refused. So they handcuffed Abney and took him to jail on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Richard Maroney, 52, of North Augusta, is a repeat offender with a history of larceny and fraudulent check charges. He was busted again in September for larceny and probation violation. Maroney gave this wild-eyed look for his mugshot. Previous charges dating back to 1992 include grand larceny, failure to appear and pay, and fraudulent checks.

Local con artist Eva Carrrol Smith was busted for some fresh scams in 2011. She was picked up in March on two counts of misdemeanor theft by deception. She is known for stopping people and asking to borrow money for a locksmith to get her keys out of a car that doesnt really exist and promising a reward. Her shirt made this mugshot.

A very drunk Charles Lundy took a tumble onto a street curb in January. The tumble occurred just moments after the Augusta man allegedly came home drunk, punched a girlfriend in the face and attacked a friend of his girlfriend, too. A male witness told cops he was able to get Lundy out of the house, and that is when the suspect struck the curb.

Ervin Walker probably wont raise a hand to his former wife again. In January, the Hephzibah man showed up at Teresa Walkers home and marched into her bedroom, where he argued and then slapped her. The rukus woke up her teenage sons and their 19-year-old cousin. The cousin hit Walkers forehead with a glass vase, leaving these marks.

New Ellenton mom Brandi Bell allegedly slapped her 3-year-old daughter and pulled her hair in public in February. She was picking up her kids from her estranged husbands workplace in Augusta and became enraged when she found out her daughters hair had been styled by her husbands girlfriend, leading to the assault. Charges followed.

Augusta mom Junaita Moore was arrested in June for allegedly beating her 6-year-old son because his teacher sent home a sad-face sticker on his report. The boy showed up to kindergarten with bruises on his back, stomach and back of his head, an apparent result of a beating with a belt or extension cord, cops said. Charges followed.

Repeat Offender Of The Week:

William David Paul Beasleys name is about as long as his criminal rap sheet, The 26-year-old man from Bath, S.C., has been causing problems since he was a teenager, leading to a substantial history of criminal offenses that should have robbed him of his freedom a long time ago. Yet, our judicial system continues to play nice with this young man, slapping him on the wrist, offering him plea deals, dropping some charges and letting him out of jail early. What has he done to earn it? Were not sure, but its infuriating for those of us who actually follow the law. Consider: Willy is a repeat-repeat-repeat abuser with multiple convictions for domestic violence.

He received a five-year sentence for breaking into a vehicle and grand larceny in 2005, but he was released before serving half of it. This criminal has an anger management problem that leads him to destroy other peoples property when he doesnt get his way. That has led to multiple arrests for malicious injury to property. Perhaps his arrest last year for possession of meth in Aiken County would explain some of his problems. Whatever the case, the man with four names is practically begging to be sent back to jail. We just wish our court system would grant that wish. Heres a look at Willys resume with dates of arrest and charges at the time.

The Difficulties of Prosecuting Family Violence Cases

The Alvin Mason case has thrown the issue of family violence into public debate. Some speculate that his wife was a scorned woman who either made up the allegation or exaggerated it. Others believe that Mr. Mason is guilty and is just trying to save his skin. ATTORNEYS Listening to the public comments brings back many memories of when I CORNER prosecuted family violence cases. UnBy Rodney A. fortunately, the most vivid memory is how Quesenberry difficult some of these cases were and continue to be. I know that it is common for a 911 call to come in with an allegation of physical abuse. It is also common for the responding deputy who sees physical injury to make an arrest. Unfortunately, it is also common for the alleged victim to recant her original allegation and ask for the case to be dismissed. There are many reasons why a victim will ask for a case to be dismissed. Sometimes they find themselves without monetary support for the family that was usually provided by the alleged aggressor. Other reasons can include feeling guilty that their loved one had to be arrested. Victims often feel responsible for the event, even when they are not. On the other hand, it is always possible (and sometimes likely) that the accused did not commit the crime. Domestic Arguments have a way of escalating and the participants will often do things far outside their normal character. This could mean making up allegations, faking injury or even becoming a primary aggressor. In the end, it is very hard to determine who is telling the truth. That is why the Solicitors Office often tries to prosecute the case based on the original complaint. They have strategies available to them that they use to prosecute a case even without a cooperative victim. If during the course of the prosecution it becomes apparent that the allegations are false, they usually do the right thing and dismiss the case. However, they do not just give up at the request of the alleged victim. For Mr. Mason, this means that his legal team has their work cut out for them to show the Solicitor that these allegations are not true. Otherwise, he will find himself answering to a jury. Rodney A. Quesenberry is local attorney. He is licensed in Georgia and litigates cases in Criminal Law, Personal Injury Law and Family Law. His law firm can be reached at (706) 823-7000.

Attorney Accused of Sex Assault by Teen Sitter

Authorities are investigating a report by an 18-year-old female that she was provided alcohol and marijuana by Augusta Attorney Joseph R. Neal Jr. before he had carnal knowledge of her without her consent and against her will. The Jail Report obtained the incident report, which is labeled rape at the top and has the victims name blacked out. No charges have been filed. The teen, reportedly a babysitter for the attorney, told authorities that she was visiting Neals home on 2240 Kings Way on the evening of Dec. 16 when she was given 4 to 5 alcohol drinks and marijuana, causing her to become intoxicated, the report says. The woman then claims Neal sexually assaulted her during her intoxicated state. The woman described Neal as an acquaintance. After being questioned about the allegations by The Jail Report, sheriffs Capt. Scott Peebles confirmed the investigation and provided the report. The case is being investigated and will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review, Capt. Peebles said in an email that contained the report. The Jail Report left messages for Neal on two phones and did not receive a response from the 43-year-old attorney. The allegations were made just before Neals wife, Caroline, 23, was arrested for a domestic assault at the same house on Dec. 21. In that case, Mr. Neal told authorities his wife accidentally closed the door on his head after an argument, a report says. Mr. Neal then claims the argument escalated and Mrs. Neal hit and scratched him repeatedly in front of Mr. Neals 13-year-old son. She also allegedly punched her glass French door and kicked in the plate glass window on the front door, causing deep cuts to her own leg. A deputy observed scratches to Mr. Neals right forearm and left bicep as well as a red mark on his chest and back. Mrs. Neal was treated for her cuts at Trinity Hospital and then charged with simple battery - family violence. She was featured in last weeks edition of The Jail Report under the name Caroline Caldwell.

The Gift of Time

As we look into 2012, we see 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes, 31,536,000 seconds. Seeing that our world turns time, we must choose to use it or abuse it. Therefore, reflect on last years failures and experiences; use them to empower you in the joy of living and receiving Gods grace, love, and blessings. While the seconds tick away, will you be tossing time out the window, or will you make every minute count? Thank God for the gift of time each morning when you wake up knowing that its a day that the Lord has made rejoice and be glad that God is Turning it Around with a flesh start in 2012.
