    I am planning to use LM334DT in my board as a current source (based on the typic al application - figure 11) It is mentioned that the Iset (V+ current) can be varied by selecting the corresponding Rset value. The output of the IC is Vcurrent. There is ratio given in table 2, between Iset and Vcurrent as 14 to 18. So the maximum output current (Vcurrent) we can achieve is (10mA / 14)

    Hi there, I am planning to use LM334DT in my board as a current source (based on the typic al application - figure 11).

    It is mentioned that the Iset (V+ current) can be varied by selecting the corres ponding Rset value. The output of the IC is V- Current. There is ratio given in table 2, between Iset and V- Current as 14 to 18. So the maximum output current (V- current) we can achieve using LM334DT is (10mA /14) 0.7mA. Is my interpretation is correct? My current requirement is 0.5mA to 2mA. Can I use LM334DT for my application. If not, can you suggest any other current source ICs for my application. ganapathysk Welcome1
