The Pennsylvania State Police, Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler, Lehigh County Coroners Office, Bucks County Coroners Office are investigating the deaths of Stephanie Hill age 36 of Ottsville Pennsylvania and Frederick Tarantino age 43 of Ottsville, Pennsylvania. On January 27, 2012 approximately 0525 hours members of the Pennsylvania State Police Dublin station responded to the area in front of 8786 Easton Road; in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County in response to a 9-1-1 call from an apartment at that location. Upon arrival at the scene troopers found Mr. Tarantino deceased outside the apartment building. Troopers also found Stephanie Hill with life threatening injuries inside the apartment. Ms Hill was taken to St Lukes hospital in Fountain Hill by ambulance where she later died of her injuries. Out of an abundance of caution the Pennsylvania State Police were in contact with the Palisades School District. The superintendent was informed of the incident, and Palisades schools were briefly placed in lockdown.

Later this morning, troopers located a suspect driving his vehicle on SR0412 about a mile north of Palisades Middle School. This suspect was taken into custody without incident and is currently in police custody. There are no additional persons being sought in this investigation. Bucks County Deputy Coroner Richard Kuntz responded to the scene and pronounced Mr. Tarantino deceased at the scene at 0090 hours. The preliminary cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma to the head. The death has been ruled a homicide. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow. Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim is also assisting with investigation. Coroner Grimm has classified the death of Stephanie Hill as a homicide. The preliminary cause of death is multiple stab wounds. The death has been ruled a homicide. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
