Good Evening. This is the business plan of our chaat stall which we have named as Chaat Street. Chat Street is into chaat business. Pani Puri is our speciality. It is the smallest form of retail business. We started business with an initial investment of Rs.35000/-. We have obtained FDA license for our stall from the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP). Our stall is located near the K.T.C bus stand at Panaji. It occupies around 1 ft X 1ft space on the floor and about 3ftX3ft space on the platform. We have placed our stall in a location that attracts number of customers daily from all age groups and sections of the society. We serve different varieties of chaat like Pani Puri, bhel puri, batata puri, shev puri, ragda pattice and also aloo tikki. We also undertake party orders. We have plans of introducing 3 new items in our product line i.e.masalapav, pav-bhaji and kachoris. Our prices are reasonable and our quality is good enough to attract customers daily. Our stall is set up keeping 2 factors in mind i.e. hygiene and quality. Our business is owned by a single person. We have 2 workers employed in our stall. They both are paid monthly salary of Rs.3500/-. Our turnover is about Rs.400-500/- per day. Our income per day largely depends on the number of customer visits in a day. Our Profit after tax for the current year is Rs.18510/- 5 years from now our profit will be Rs.69211/-. A restaurant serving chats and a corn stall situated nearby are our only competitors. People feel that only restaurants can provide them good quality and better service and hence they go to restaurants to have chaats. But they forget that the taste present in a chaat from a roadside stall is absent in a restaurant. The corn stall selling different varieties of corn items sometimes serve as replacement for chaat. We sometimes loose our customers because of our 2 competitors. We are not involved in distributing our products. People come to our stalls for chaats .We also do not incur any promotion expenses as once a stall is set up in a favorable location; customers get to know of its products and quality.

Our operating cycle starts at 2 p.m when our worker starts preparing the fillings, chutneys and masalas required for the chaats. Our stall closes at 10:00 p.m. Our major cause of concern is the varying cost of raw materials which inturn affects our rates. In such a situation, our profits will be affected by a minimum level which we believe , can be covered during a season period. We guarantee our customers good quality and hygiene. You will not find the taste from our stall elsewhere. Do visit our stall for all our chaat requirements. We assure you good quality and taste.
