ABSTRACT

Transport information system serves a public transport passenger who is standing at bus stop

waiting for his/her desired bus. It is an automatic application that informs commuters about the

arrival time of the bus on the screens of their mobile phones; busses are tracked using GPS-GSM

modem embedded device, their current longitude and latitude updated in the database.

Application facilitates the remote users by manipulating that data for the calculation of arrival

time of the desired bus. By updating the passengers with the arrival time of the bus we can save

their valuable time that idle away on the bus stop.
