As a young bo y he observed nature. The main treatment had some success but was often fatal. J enner tested his theory that milkmaids didnt get smallpox by inoculating James Ph ipps, son of a local farmer with pus from cowpox blisters. After James made his recovery from cowpox Jenner inoculated him with smallpox. James made a complete recovery. He researched more and made an inquiry. Many people were sceptic again st his theory.
