What is UL 62275?
For cable ties, it replaces the current U.S. and Canadian standard UL 1565/CSA C22.2 No. 18.5 It is based on the international standard IEC 62275, Cable ties for electrical installations It is harmonized with Canadian standard CSA C22.2 No. 62275 and Mexican standard NMX-J-623-ANCE It establishes a scheme for standard Type classifications and performance ratings

Why the new UL 62275 standard?

Simplifies product selection based on standardized classifications and ratings Promotes high value, consistent quality and safe and efficient application

When does it take effect?


Published February 26, 2010 Manufacturers can comply with the requirements now Completely replaces requirements for cable ties in UL 1565/CSA C22.2 No. 18.5 effective February 26, 2013

How will I recognize a compliant product?


New Type classifications When tested by UL, the Mark will no longer be used, only the Mark with the appropriate Type designation Other certifiers marks may also be applied as appropriate Additional performance ratings
