improved my problem-solving and communication skills and am prepared to tackle the
challenges that I may encounter in my undergraduate studies.

Being a professional accountant has become my ambition after starting learning account
in Form Six. I know that I will face lots of challenges if I choose it as my future career,
but I believe university will provide me with a broad-based education of various business
disciplines and provide me with the training of intellectual and analytical skills. (1)
I wish to join the Accounting Scholars Programme and Internship Programme which are
offered by AUHK. Both programmes are attractive to me as they help students know more
So, I want to take Accountancy as my first choice. (2)

about accounting operation and develop their business sense before working in the field.

My most favourite hobby is reading as it can enrich my knowledge in different aspects

and nurture my logical thinking. I got some reading awards, too. Also, I love playing
badminton and swimming which are really good for me to maintain a good health. (3)
Besides acquiring knowledge from books, developing leadership and communication
skills through activities are also important. I took up many important posts in secondary
school. For example, I was the leader of the School Prefect Team, the Chairperson of
the Putonghua Club and the Vice-chairman of the School Library. All these positions
gave me chances to acquire leadership skills, the sense of responsibility, confidence and
independent thinking. (4)

13

(Personal Statement)
I am deeply convinced that I can get an all-round development in my university life.
Moreover, I strongly believe that my chosen subjects not only develop my potential, but
also equip me with professional knowledge as well as giving me an excellent foundation in
achieving a successful career in the future. (5)
