You are to design a ten-page EBook. The EBook will be done as an Adobe InDesign CS5 document and then exported to a format that will support EBooks. Your EBook will contain information on one decade between 1940 and 1990. You will do a Boolean search on a decade of your choice, ensuring that you cover the following topics: 1. How was this generation defined? For example, the 1920s were defined as the Roaring 1920s while the 1990s was defined as the electronic age. 2. Facts about the decade, including average salary, minimum wage, life expectancy, and other interesting facts the student finds. 3. Popular authors and songwriters 4. Historic Events and People In addition, somewhere in the book, you must show at least example of Contrast, one example of Negative/White Space, and one example of Analogous Colors OR Complementary Colors. When you have completed your EBook in InDesign, you will export in following the directions below: 1. Click on the File menu and then click Export. 2. Give the file a name and indicate a file format. The file format needs to be Flash Player (SWF). 3. When you click Save, another dialog box will appear, where you need to make sure All Pages and Generate HTML File is marked. 4. At this point, you will have a URL address for your EBook. 5. Email the URL address to me at the email address I have given you. You will be graded based on the rubric on the next page.
