Marriage Lines are also called Love Lines, Union Lines and Affection Lines. Love Lines are present underneath the Little Finger. (fig1) A strong, long, clear, well coloured and deep line of love shows strong attachment towards the opposite sex and indicates good Married Life. Whether the Marriage Line shows marriage or simply an urge for an attachment with the opposite sex is interpreted according to the persons social, cultural aspects according to his/her religion, country, etc. Mostly five places in the hand to be read for marriage are (1) the Marriage Line underneath the Mount Of Mercury (fig-1A), (2) the Influence Line coming from the Mount Of Moon and joining the Fate Line (fig-1B) (3) the line falling from the Life Line inside and going towards Mount Of Venus (fig-1C) (4) line parallel to the Life Line (fig-1D), (5) a cross on the mount of Jupiter, indicates good marriage (fig-1E)

If there is no Marriage Line in both palms this does not mean that the person would not get married. There are other signs those indicate marriage also. I have seen many people in my practice who had no Marriage Lines in both palms and they had not one but two marriages. (fig-2)

If there is more than one or two Marriage Lines this does not mean that person would marry two or three times. The Strong Marriage Line is indicating marriage in this period. Person with many Marriage Lines will be having trouble getting married. Yes there are chances if there are two strong Marriage Lines then sometimes person gets married two times or could have Extramarital Affair. (fig-3)

LOVE LINE ON SAINTS HAND

Saints have Marriage Lines but Marriage Lines do not always mean marriage. If a saint has two or three Marriage Lines it indicates his love for his students and for his god. You also need to see other things like Saturn mount and finger and Mount Of Venus and also inquire if the person is actually a saint who never got married and not one who had become saint later in life after marriage. (fig-4)

SIGNS OF DEATH OF SPOUSE

1. If Marriage Line meets Heart Line then there are always chances of loss of partner. (fig5A) If strong Marriage Line is too close or meets the Heart Line then the person gets married in childhood (around age 3 to 10 in Indian perspective BaalVivah). As per Indian Palmistry if Marriage Line goes upwards to Little Finger then there are chances that the person may never get married but you should see carefully the Marriage Line, whether there is any other strong Marriage Line or other sign is present. As per Western Palmists this signifies happy Married Life, good health and long life to the spouse. (fig-8) Also see (fig-22, 36, 37, and 43)

If there is black Mole on Mount Of Moon then it indicates Late Marriage. (fig-52) Also see (fig-8, 22, 36, 37, and 43)

SIGNS OF GOOD MARRIAGE

If Marriage Line is good, not having any bad signs on it and coming inside the palm straight and also other major lines are good then we can say the person will be having good Married Life. If Marriage Line is touching Sun Line then the person will be having good Married Life or marriage in rich family or to rich, famous person but it cannot only be judged through Marriage Line and other lines also needs to be considered. (fig-56A) If Influence Line from Mount Of Moon meets the Sun Line then it indicates success after marriage or marriage in rich family. (fig-56B)

HOW TO CALCULATE MARRIAGE AGE

Mark a dot on the root of third Phalange of Little Finger (fig-74A) and then mark a dot on the Heart Line (fig 74-B). Now draw a straight line to join both the dots (fig 74-C). Now, assume this distance to be 60 years. Now, make a dot in the middle of this straight line. This dot (central dot) will represent 30 years of age. (fig-74D) Now, make a dot between the heart line and the central dot (30 year mark). (fig74E) This will represent 15 years of age. Now, make a dot between the central dot and the root of third Phalange of Little Finger. (fig-74F) This will represent 45 years of age. By making dots in this way you will be having dots representing various years of age. Now by relating the position of Marriage Line to the central dot (30-year mark) you can calculate the age of marriage. If Marriage Line is below the central dot then you can tell that the person should get married before 30 years of age. If Marriage Line is above the central dot then you can tell marriage will be after 30 years of age. You have to take into consideration the strongest Marriage Line. Furthermore, you also have to decide according to the gender, country, culture, religion and background of the subject when deciding on age. You can also follow the seven-year method for calculating marriage age. (fig-75G) Calculations from Palm needs lot of practice and experience. If you see different palms you will find that the gap between Heart Line and little finger varies from person to person, so you need lot of practice as one scale may not be correct for every palm but the basic rules will be the same as shown in figures.

If there is a small branch downward from the Heart Line then this indicates an affair. (fig-72A) If this small branch is cut by Horizontal bar then it indicates Breakup of an affair or break of engagement. (fig-72B)

If Fate Line is cut by Influence Line which comes from Mount Of Moon then it indicates break of engagement or Divorce due to interference of opposite sex or friends. (fig-73)
