How does psychology help you in the attainment of the TIP Graduate attribute?

How can psychology help in attaining any kind of goal for oneself? Psychology to others is just a subject taken as a requirement to complete the academic curriculum of any particular program-course. But how can it actually help in the attainment of a goal? The TIP Graduate attributes in particular. In my case, since Ill soon be in third year in my program-course, BS in Marine Transportation and after that Ill be considered as an alumnus of this great institution. As any institution wanted his graduates to learned something that is unique to its system, so is TIP. TIP graduates after they pass through the portals of their alma mater are expected to carry with them the attributes that only TIPians are equipped to have. And even though Im still halfway through my goal of graduating, Im already preparing myself to enculcate within me the these attributes. And in the process of doing it, I will be using my learning from my psychology class with Dr. Ceb. For me to be professionally competent against all my competitors, I will use what I have learned from my Motivation, Personality and what I will learn from my Organizational development lessons. By showing my future employers my willingness and motivation to join their fleet of globally competent seafarers and contribute to the development and success of their company as well as by making a good impression of my positive personality, I will show them how I can handle organizations when I become a licensed senior officer with my leadership skills that I have nurtured here at TIP. I will communicate with the world soon with my well developed language skills by socializing myself through the lessons I learned from the social learning theory, concept and principles from the social behavior topic we have taken as well. After I will be applying all this in my future profession, I will be able then to develop my critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as execute lifelong learning to become a productive citizen with the help of all the knowledge that I acquired from my MPSY043 which I believe will make a

great help for me to accomplish more and soon turn back to my alma mater and give back to it as a future industrial lecturer. With this I can help improving myself more to become a better instructor, person and co-worker and to help nurture young minds to become more productive students who will carry othe task of uplifting the TIP name in the limelight of best institutions in the Philippines and the world in the field of Maritime Education, Engineering and Education. Soon Ill be finishing my academic life here at TIP and venture to the real world of skills, competition and achievements. With the help of the TIP Graduates Attributes I will be able to run with the race and expect myself to top it and later on win it.
