    Maureen Huthman Needs Assessment Data Results Students were asked 10 questions about their confidence in the topics

    that would be covered during the Senior Seminar. The survey was first given to all seniors (244) a month before the Seminar. The seniors were given the same survey again at the end of the Seminar. Of the approximately 200 seniors who attended, 116 post-surveys were completed. Attrition is obviously an issue. Students were asked to rate their confidence on a scale from 1 (Not at all) to 5 (Absolutely) for each question. The numbers below represent the average rating for each question. How confident are you in the time-line of applying to 3.26 3.83 college in the next year? How confident are you in your job-hunting skills? 3.26 3.70 How confident are you in knowing what things to say 3.20 3.83 in a college and/or job interview? How confident are you in knowing how to pick the 3.56 4.03 right college for you? Do you know how the financial aid process works and 2.43 3.37 the different types of aid available? How confident are you in writing a winning college 2.77 3.70 essay? Do you know how much the cost of living will be once 2.76 3.34 you are living on your own? How confident are you in being able to set up and 3.47 3.80 stick with a budget? How confident are you in knowing the benefits and 3.60 4.03 disadvantages of attending a community college, private university, public university, and/or out-ofstate college?
