Water Limbo
o

IWater Limbo is like regular limbo, only you use a hose instead of a pole,
so the stream of water the hose shoots out is your limbo stick, and if you
end up wet because you hit the stream of water, then you're out. This
works well if you have a nozzle with adjustable sprays, as you can choose
the best setting. However if you don't, then simply place your thumb over
the majority of the water hole to create a straight line of water. After each
person has gone through the line one time, those who are wet are
eliminated and the water stream is lowered an inch or two. Continue until
you only have one dry person left, and they are declared the winner.

Leaking Relay Race

o

Form two teams. Have each team form a straight line. Place a full bucket
of water at the start line and an empty bucket at the opposite end of the
play area. Give the first person in line a cup with hole in the bottom. On
the word "Go," the first person must fill their leaky cup up with water,
place it over their head and then make their way to the other side, where
they dump the remaining water in the other bucket. They then race back to
the line and give the next person the empty leaky cup. The play continues
with each person on the team until everyone has had a chance. The team
whose bucket has the most water in it wins. You can also alter this and
make it about speed, so it's the first team with a full bucket who wins.

Tug of War
o

Play good old fashioned tug of water with an added water element for the
party. Place a sprinkler in the middle of the yard and turn it on. Have the
two teams on either side of the sprinkler with the rope all the way across
the sprinkler. On the word "Go," both sides pull on the rope, trying to pull
the other team into the water. The team who pulls all members of the
opposing team into the sprinkler wins.

Ice Cube Collection

o

Set up a kiddie pool and fill it halfway up with water. Place a bowl in the
middle of the pool. Have one team remove their socks and shoes so they're
barefoot. Pouring ice cubes into the pool. Give the first team one minute to
grab as many ice cubes with their toes and drop them into the bowl as
possible, then start over with the next team. The team who grabs the most
ice cubes and places them in the bowl in the allotted time wins.

Water Balloon Toss

Have everyone choose a partner and line up in two lines facing each other,
with one partner on each side. Give every person on one side a water
balloon. On your whistle, everyone must toss their balloon to their partner.
Those who drop their balloons or whose balloons pop are out. Everyone
else takes one step back so the distance between partners is further apart.
On the next whistle, the balloon is again tossed. This process repeats until
only one set of partners remains, and they are the winners.
