Editorial intern for political affairs magazine


The magazine Beyond the Hill, the official publication of the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians, is looking for four editorial interns to pitch, write and edit stories, under the guidance of a professional publisher, during the 2012-13 school year. Being bilingual is an asset but not essential. The successful applicants will receive: A modest stipend of $500 per issue for the intern and $1000 per issue for the senior intern An opportunity to travel and report from regional meetings across Canada A chance to interact with former MPs and Senators Tickets to all major association events Coaching

To apply please send a cover letter, resume with one reference and two examples of your work to exparl@parl.gc.ca by March 12, 2012. We will also ask you to write an unedited 500 word essay on a specific topic and will notify you a few days before the interview of the assigned topic. Interviews will take place in April 2012.
