2. Test structure
Question number 1 Required task The test taker is asked to speak about a topic about familiar topic related to person, place, object, or event Two situations or opinions are presented. The test taker is 2 asked which he/she prefer and needs to explain about the choice A reading passage about a campus related topic is presented and a listening passage which is a response to that topic. The 3 test taker is asked what the opinion is of a speaker in the listening passage and need to explain how that persons opinion relates to the issue presented in the reading passage. A reading passage about an academic subject and a listening passage of a part of a lecture on that same subject are 4 presented. The reading passage is always about important academic term or concept. The test taker is asked to speak about how the example supports or illustrates the term or concept. A listening passage of a part of a conversation about campus 5 problem and one or more solutions are presented. The test taker needs to describe the problem and then give opinion about what the solution should be. A listening passage of a part of a lecture is presented. It is an 6 excerpt from an academic lecture on a single topic.
