Nahmadahu Wanusalli ala Rasoolihil Kareem One of the biggest fitnas of our times is with regards to Prof. Tahirul Qadri, whom the Ulama from throughout the world prefer to address as Tahirul Padri and Mr. Tahir and rightfully so. Why? It is because of his recent deplorable actions and his corrupt beliefs. The Ulama have expressed their dissatisfaction and say that he no more presents the exalted Qadri Silsila. What Tahir Padri stands for are not the teachings of the Qadri Silsila or any other Silsila for that matter. His most recent actions of celebrating Christmas with the Christian priest and his show of unity with Mushriks chanting the names of their gods and idols has shown how deviated he is. No Muslim can tolerate it. If anyone still supports him, then he or she must check their Imaan! Tahir Padri certainly has a large following of innocent Muslims who feel that he is doing a great service to Islam by making Dawah with Christians and showing unity with the Mushriks. But, the Muslim public must realise and he is not doing this the correct way. He is compromising the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of our Master, Rasoolullah r. He has gone against the teachings of Islam. He has made a mockery of Islam. He has made a mockery of the Meeladun Nabi r. He has given honour to Christians and Mushriks. He has overstepped the boundaries of the Sacred Shariah. Recently, Jamaat-e-Raza-e-Mustafa [South Africa] had translated an Urdu Fatwa - Tahirul Qadri ki Kilaaf Quran ki faryaad [A Refutation of Tahirul Qadri and a Plea from the Quran to those who accept (and respect it)] written by Shaikhul Hadith, Hadrat Allama Mufti Mohammed Fazle-e-Rasool Siyalwi [Darul Uloom Ghousia Radawi, Darul Iftah, Androon Lorry Centre, Sarghoodah]. We posted this Fatwa widely on the internet. Many people accepted the Fatwa. Blinded by their ignorance, there were still a few who defended Tahir Padri. The entire Fatwa of the learned Shaikhul Hadith has been reproduced in this book.

When the Shaikhul Hadith wrote this Fatwa against Tahirul Qadri, this senior Scholar of Islam was arrested in Pakistan and tormented by the members of Tahirul Padris Minhajul Quran, or should we say, Minhaajush Shaitaan, as one of the very senior Muftis preferred to call that organisation. This decree was issued in April 2011 based on a speech delivered by Dr. Tahir on 2 January 2006 during the Christmas celebration held at the MQI premises in Lahore. The Shaikhul Hadith was duty-bound to write this Fatwa after his initial request for answers for 10 questions from the Minhaajians who ignored and rejected them after a very long period of time. Failing to get an adequate response from them he was compelled to warn the public of this dangerous group and the Kufr of Mr. Tahir. The learned and senior Mufti uses contextual proof from the Holy Quran and the Ahadith to refute Mr. Tahir who said that Christian and Jews are believers and not disbelievers, that he is happy with the Jewish and Christian faiths, that the Meeladun Nabi r and Christmas celebrations are similar, that the Islamic Ulama and Christian priests are of equal standing, and that he has compared their misguided teachings to Islam and even considered their Kufr the same as Islam. [Allah Y forbid!] Recently, a well-known writer and defender of Islam, Janab Aqib Farid Qadri wrote a book called Hussam al-Furqan Ala Mann Haajj AlQuran [Sword of the Criterion upon one who refuted the Qur'an] - a refutation of the corrupt beliefs of Dr. Tahir. In this book he exposed Tahir Padri and severely criticised him for his deviated actions of celebrating Christmas and uniting with other religions. This book is available widely on the internet. We have used some points from his research and included it in our publication. Added to this, Alhamdulillah, the Ulama of Jamia al-Ashrafiyya, Mubarakpur, Hind - Mufti Mohammed Ahmed Azami Misbahi, Mufti Mohammed Nizaamudeen Radawi & Maulana Yaseen Akhtar Misbahi - have also written a refutation of Tahir - Professor Tahirul Qaderi - A

Moment to Reflect! These are very senior and learned Scholars of Islam. They have also criticised Mr. Tahir based the laws of the Shariah. We have also included their views in this book. Many of the senior Ulama in the Indo-Pak and the Ulama from throughout the world - too numerous to mention - have spoken out against Mr. Tahir Padri and some went as far enough to openly declare that he has committed Kufr and that he is a Kaafir. Some of their statements and refutations can be seen on the internet. Photographs and video clippings of Tahirul Padri celebrating Christmas and of his multi-faith gathering can bee seen on the internet for those who rely on such proof from the digital media. It is our duty and we are bounded by the Shariah to warn the Muslim public about Tahir Padri - especially those who support him, promote his DVDs and regard him in high esteem. Repent in the Court of Allah Y. He has certainly deviated from the true teachings of Islam. We should stop listening to his talks. We should boycott him and his Minhajul Quran organisation. We should warn our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters about his corrupt teachings. We should follow only those Ulama who are on Haqq. Allah Y says: O People who Believe! Do not consider your fathers and your brothers as your friends if they prefer disbelief over faith; and whoever among you befriends them - then it is he who is the unjust. [Taubah 9:23] May Allah Y protect us from such deviated people and keep us firm on the path of the Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat. Aameen.

DR. TAHIR CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS WITH THE PADRIS

Dr. Tahir and his Minhaj-ul-Quran (MQI) and the Muslim Christian Dialogue Forum (MCDF) organisation were seen celebrating Christmas with their Christian brothers. This was reported openly in the newspapers in Pakistan and also posted on his Minhaj-ul-Quran web site. Please check the print of the newspapers of Lahore, 3 January 2006. Http://minhaj.org/org/index.php?contents=coverage&page=full&city =Lahore&id=607 Apart from these, MQI and MCDF members visited many Churches all over the world, which they proudly displayed on their websites - with one YouTube video showing Dr. Tahir exchanging the Holy Quran with the Bible with the Christian priests! The irony is that Dr. Tahir was the very person who defeated a prominent Christian priest in a much publicized debate and made the priest acknowledge that the Bible was corrupt. That was 20 odd years ago, in Western Europe. Today, he has changed his stance and offers his hand of friendship to the Christian and Jews. There are some Muslims who claim to be broad-mined and say that there is no harm in celebrating Christmas; that we have to be tolerant to Christians, and that it is a form of Dawah and inviting them to Islam. This is all a misconception and pure ignorance. Are we Muslims allowed to celebrate Christmas? Definitely not! The Master of the Shariah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad r said, Every people have their Eid. . It must be remembered that some

celebrations are of a religious nature, and some others are social and cultural. Some celebrations are based on beliefs and practices that are contrary to Islamic teachings, and some celebrations are not of that nature. Some people claim that Christmas is now a secular holiday rather than a religious holiday. But it is wrong to assume that because this holiday is national, it has ceased to be Christian. It is true that this holiday is very popular and it is extremely commercialized; nevertheless it is basically a religious holiday. Its very name and all its symbolism is Christian through and through. Christians celebrate at Christmas what they believe to be the day of the birth of Gods Son or what they call God Incarnate. Thus it is not only a celebration of another religion, it is also a celebration that is based on a belief that is totally against the teachings of Islam. From the Islamic point of view, the belief in the Son of God or God in the flesh is a blasphemy and Kufr (denial of Allah Taalas Y Oneness). By participation in Christmas, it is possible that slowly one may lose his or her consciousness of this basic point of difference. Muslims must be very careful in this matter. The greatest danger is for our next generation, who may slowly lose their Islamic faith in Tauheed and may start believing in Nabi Isa u as more than a Prophet and servant of Allah. In his speech which Dr. Tahir delivered on the 2nd of January 2006 during the Christmas celebration held at the MQI premises in Lahore Dr. Tahir has made statements like:. 1. The Masaajid of Minhaj-ul-Quran are always open for Christian brothers and sisters. They can come whenever they feel like and carry on their worship according to their religion. 2. Till the last breath the Masaajid of Minhaj-ul-Quran will remain open for Christians. 3. In Islam, Meelad-e-Mustafa r has got the same respect/status as the Christmas Day. 4. Christmas and Meelad Shareef both are similar days of happiness. The natures of both days are the same. 5. Those who believe in the Books from the Heaven are

Believers and those who do not are non-believers, therefore Christian brothers are Believers. 6. Jews, Christians and Muslims all belong to the row of Ahle-Imaan (People of the Faith). 7. There are 3 major religions in the world, these are: Islam, Christianity and Jewism and are Ahl-e-Imaan (People of the faith). This speech will be analyzed later in the book by the learned Shaikhul Hadith, Hadrat Allama Mufti Mohammed Fazle-e-Rasool Siyalwi [Darul Uloom Ghousia Radawi, Pakistan] If he used this occasion as a public relations exercise to improve intercommunity relationships in Pakistan between Muslims and Christians, then he should know that tolerance does not mean submission. People should understand the difference between the two. It is not a question of their Meelad, our Meelad. Christmas existed before Islam, and Meelad exists oblivious of Christmas. In addition, the celebration of Christmas has nothing to do with celebrating the birth of the Prophet Isa u; rather, they celebrate the birth of the Son of God. It is a pagan festival. What is more, it is historically rooted in the European pagan winter solstice celebrations, which preceded the beginnings of Christian history. Would you and your family now celebrate Christmas just as Tahir Padri has done? Would you cut a Christmas cake just as Tahir Padri has done? Would you honour the Christian priests with their crosses and robes just as Tahir Padri has done? Would you now consider the Meeladun Nabi r as the same as celebrating Christmas? Would you regard the Christian and Jews as Believers like us just as Tahir Padri has suggested? Would you consider our Ulama and the Christian priests as being of equal standing as Tahir Padri suggests? We would like to ask: (1) Are Muslims, Christians and Jews all Believers?

(2) The significance of the birth of Nabi Isa U is NOT the same as the significance of Christmas. Indeed, it is a sad day when the Holy Quran is used to justify the practices of Christians! and so Ascension Day next? Wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billah. (3) This is of course, ridiculous! And he makes irresponsible statements like Rasoolullah r invited Christians to his Mosque so we should too, is clearly against the Ijma'. Does this mean that Christians will be bringing crosses into the Masjid, pictures of Jesus and Mary (Sayyidah Maryam t) and worshipping Jesus as the son of Allah Y? The reason why Prof. Tahirul Qadri's actions are deplorable is for many reasons and the most important of which is Tashabbuh (resemblance) or imitating the Kuffar. This was a convention wishing Christian brothers and sisters a happy Christmas organized by surprisingly, Minhaj-ul-Quran. Is this the manhaj of Quran? We respect Nabi Isa u but not in the manner of the Christians. It is positively impermissible to celebrate Christmas with the Christians as it is the soul of Tashabbuh and takes one out of the pale of Islam according to one of two opinions related from the Imams of the early Muslims, the other being that one is an evil person for doing so. In addition, a report from Sayyidina Umar t explicitly forbids the Muslims from any connection whatsoever with their festivals. The Hadith Shareef of Rasoolullah r mentions: Man tashabbaha bi qawmin fa huwa minhum or Whosoever imitated a community is one amongst them. That is why the Hadith says: Oppose the Jews and Christians (in your appearance), grow beards and trim your moustaches. Some Ashaab who were Jewish prior to becoming Muslim, did not eat camel flesh and respected the Sabbath after they became Muslim. Because they reasoned that it is forbidden in the Jewish faith and permissible (Mubah) in Islam; therefore we shall choose the safest position and do the former (observe the Sabbath and abstain from camel-flesh). The Ayah: O Muslims! Enter the faith of Islam

completely [Baqarah, 208] was revealed in this regard because the Shariah of Nabi Musa u is abrogated. Further proof from the Holy Quran is given: O believers! Do not take the Jews and Christians as friends, they are friends of each other among themselves, and whoso of you makes them his friends, then he is one of them. Undoubtedly, Allah guides not the people unjust. [Kanz-ul-Iman: Surah Al-Maidah: 51] And never the Jews and Christians will be pleased with you unless you follow their Din (creed). Say then! The guidance of Allah is the only guidance, (O listener who he may be) if you become follower of their desires, after the knowledge that has come to you, then no one will be your protector from Allah and no helper. [Kanz-ul-Iman: Surah Baqarah: 120] O you who believe! Take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport,- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed). [Kanz-ulIman: Surah Al-Maidah: 57] What does the Hadith Shareef say? To narrate just a few: Hadrat Abu Hurayra t reported Allahs Messenger r as saying: Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it. (Sahih Muslim, Book 26, # 5389) Narrated Hadrat Abu Hurayra t: Hadrat Suhayl ibn Abu Salih t said: I went out with my father to Syria. The people passed by the cloisters in which there were Christians and began to salute them. My father said: Do not give them salutation first, for Abu Hurayra reported the Apostle

of Allah r as saying: Do not salute them (Jews and Christians) first, and when you meet them on the road, force them to go to the narrowest part of it. (Sunan Abu Dawood, Book 41, # 5186) The Holy Prophet r said, You will follow the wrong ways of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there. We said, O Allahs Apostle r! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians? He r replied, Whom else? (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.) (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 56, # 662; Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 92, # 461) You should not be the first to greet Jews or Christians. Therefore whenever you come across them do not make a way for them. (Nawawi, # 874) It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Hurayra t that the Messenger of Allah r observed: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, he who amongst the community of Jews or Christians hears about me, but does not affirm his belief in that with which I have been sent and dies in this state (of disbelief), he shall be but one of the denizens of Hell-Fire. (Sahih Muslim, Book 1, # 284) Tahir Padri claims that the Holy Prophet r allowed the Christians of Najran to pray in the Masjidun Nabawi in Medina Shareef. (Since Dr. Tahir allowed Christians to pray in Minhaj mosques). 1. The leader of all mankind, the mercy unto the universe, the Holy Prophet r had allowed not just Christians, but several other delegations to come and meet him in Masjidun Nabawi for the sake of inviting them to Islam, for the sake of clarifying their questions on the true faith. Never did he r open the gates for anyone carte-blanche to come and commit polytheistic actions inside the Mosque. 2. The Christian priests and their followers had come to question him r about the new faith. When they first wanted to see him r, he r refused because they were wearing ornaments, jewelry and expensive clothes. The next day, when they arrived without their ostentations, the Holy Prophet r met them and deliberated with them regarding their beliefs.

They had not yet openly refuted him r. So when the time of prayer arrived, he r allowed them to say their prayers. 3. The Holy Prophet r then openly refuted their beliefs and when they did not accept him as Allahs Y true Apostle, he challenged them to ibtihaal. The Christians thought about it, and then refused to accept the challenge as they were certain of dire consequences. 4. The Holy Prophet r then invited them to remind them that their previously uncorrupted religion had the same basic tenet of monotheism and they must come back to it by accepting Islam. When they refused, they were required to pay the tax called Jizya. a. Can the Minhaj group prove that the Christians were carrying or wearing the cross inside the Mosque? No. In fact the Holy Prophet r refused to meet them when they were wearing their ornaments! b. Can the Minhaj group prove that the Mosques in Medina Shareef were kept open for any or all Christians or that the Holy Prophet r extended this excuse for any time after that? The fact is the Holy Prophet r instructed never to allow any disbeliever into the holy areas of Makkah Shareef and Madinah Shareef, and later on banished all disbelievers from the area of Hejaz. c. Can they prove that ALL actions of the Holy Prophet r can be copied by everyone - such as having more than four wives at any given time, or excusing some of the Companions in the laid down rules of the Shariah? Does Dr. Tahir have all these privileges? Fatawa issued by senior Shaikhul Hadith of Pakistan: After several warnings for over 5 years, and failed attempts by Muslim Scholars requesting Dr. Tahir to desist from holding Christmas celebrations and to clarify what he meant in his objectionable speeches, a Fatwa (religious decree) of Kufr (Infidelity) and Irtidad (apostasy) was issued against Dr. Tahir. The decree is written in Urdu, by a renowned Islamic Scholar Mufti Mohammed Fazl-e-Rasool, from Sargodha, Pakistan. The decree was issued in April 2011, based on the speech delivered by nd Dr. Tahir on the 2 of January 2006 (during the Christmas function held at the MQI premises in Lahore).

DR. TAHIR AND HIS SHOW OF UNITY WITH OTHER RELIGIONS

Dr. Tahir and his pattern of friendship and revering symbols of disbelief has reached such a point that functions are now being held under the patronage of Dr. Tahir (and his organizations) also along with Hindus, Sikhs, Shias, etc. for the goals of inter-faith harmony, minority affairs and the pledge to work for Pakistan. Recently, Dr. Tahir organized a convention in Wembley, London (UK) th on the 24 of September 2011 - where he invited leaders of several religions - including Hindus, Sikhs, Jews, Christians and Buddhists. [This event can also be seen on the internet]. The Muslim community was also present there with many prominent Ulama also standing side by side with Mr. Tahir. It is surprising that they had nothing to say about this event! The following abhorrent acts were openly committed and proudly relayed live on electronic media:(1) Dr. Tahir calling the representatives of the Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh religions as great leaders. (2) Dr. Tahir saying that, the three religions of the Jews, the Christians and Islam - are all the legacy of Sayyiduna Ibrahim u which is in direct contradiction of the Holy Qur'an. (3) Dr. Tahir saying that, We will sing together the song of peace and love. We will take melodies from the Bible, we will take lyrics from the Taurah, and we will take rhythm from the Quran - and we will take humility and peace from all other sacred books belonging to other religions of humanity. (4) Dr. Tahir saying that, We will remember the awakening of the Buddha, and we will remember the love of Krishna and we will remember the optimism of the Sikhs.

(5) Dr. Tahir praying that May each religion keep its fragrance. (6) The disbelievers and their leaders were personally requested by Dr. Tahir to call out to their respective gods. They then called out (prayed) loudly as follows:Hindu Pundit: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Raam Raam, Hare Raam Christian Priest: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Father God. Buddhist Monk: Namoh Buddhay, Namoh Buddhay, Namoh Buddhay Hindu Monk: Om Namash-Shivaye Namaham.. The Sikhs: Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru. Sat Sri Akaal [We produce these words with no intention of respect or worship]. Allah Y forbid! Since these acts are blatantly anti-Islamic and polytheistic, we am sure many more condemnations and decrees of apostasy will be issued against him. Dr. Tahir had clearly left the path of Muslims. As soon as we receive such Fatawa we will, Insha-Allah azza wajal, publish them in our new edition.

The Plea of the Qur'an All Praise is due to Allah Y, Durood and Salutation upon His beloved Prophet r upon whom was revealed the Blessed Qur'an so that (this Prophet) also becomes a Warner and a Giver of Glad Tidings to the entire Universe. (Blessing also be) upon his r exemplary family t, companions t, upon those who rightfully follow him and those who follow them. May they be blessed with Divine Grace until the Day of Judgement. It must be remembered that all those who call themselves the Ahle Kitaab and have not accepted the Holy Prophet r and the Holy Qur'an have been very explicit in this fact irrespective of which nation or country they come from, that without doubt, these people are disbelievers. The Quran has repeated this on many occasions. (What is surprising is that) Mr. Tahir has actually organized and held a Christmas celebration at the offices of Minhaajul Qur'an!* Speaking at this same function, he declared to everyone present that: I warmly welcome all those Christian brothers and sisters to this function held through the offices of Minhaajul Qur'an and has also been jointly organized with the Muslim Christian Dialogue Forum (MCDF) - in which our Christian brothers with their respected and esteemed leaders - and which also includes members of other religious and social organizations (have come) with their Padris. We (take this opportunity) of warmly and sincerely once again welcoming them to this Christmas celebration and I also congratulate them on the occasion of Christmas. (There is no doubt that) the celebration of Christmas within the Christian world held by those who hold Christian beliefs holds the same importance as the celebration of Meelad-un* Translation of Dr. Tahir's Urdu speech from audio cd. The Shaikhul Hadith has copied the main parts of his speech in Urdu in his Fatwa. I have translated this in English as closely as possible to the Urdu text. Although the Shaikhul Hadith has left out the names of the attendees of the function, nevertheless the important gist of Dr. Tahir's speech was written as close as possible to Dr. Tahir's original words. Foreword The reason for the compilation of this booklet is that previous to this, there was another booklet entitled Saif-e-Numaan wherein were ten questions that were sent to members of Minhaajul Qur'an. It was absolutely necessary upon the members of this organization to clearly (inform the Muslim) public about the Islamic verdict on Mr. Tahir. However, a long time has passed and they remained silent (on this issue). We have, therefore, arrived at this conclusion that either the members of Minhaajul Qur'an have never refuted those (ten) questions (which we had initially sent) or they do not have the decency nor the Islamic decorum and responsibility to publicise the actual Islamic verdict on Mr. Tahir. It has now become Fard (compulsory) upon us so as to protect the Muslim public from this fitna and to notify the Muslim public about the ruling (verdict) of Islam on this person. This is intended to complete the final proof against him. We also make Du'a that he (Mr. Tahir) also makes a public apology according to Islamic Law and (if he does not), we make Du'a that the Almighty Y protect the Muslims from the (religious mischief) of this person. Ameen.
* This decree was issued in April 2011 based on a speech delivered by Dr. Tahir on 2 January 2006 during the Christmas celebration held at the MQI premises in Lahore. Nabi within the Islamic religion. The Muslim celebrates the Meelad-un- Nabi on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The word Meelad is used for birth. This celebration of the Prophet's r birth or birthday is held all over the world. At the same time, our Christian brothers also celebrate the birth of Jesus in the month of December on this specific date. The nature of both these programs is the same. Therefore, this is of the same vein. (It must be remembered) that a Muslim can never be called a Muslim even if he reads the Kalima or performs Namaaz, or Hajj, or gives Zakah or fulfils all the conditions of Islam, - even believes in the Qur'an, accepts all the teachings of Islam and even practises on them, - and yet, in spite of fulfilling all of these, - if for one slightest moment, (this same Muslim), has the slightest doubt in the Prophet-hood, the messenger-ship, the great status, the great amazing deeds and miracles, in his great name, in his descent to this world, in the Revelations sent to him, in his message and (this same Muslim) - says that he does not accept (Nabi 'Isa), all of those things which he has believed in and all its dimensions would be of no benefit to him! Even though, he has accepted (all of these Islamic beliefs and acted on these Islamic practises), he would still be considered a Kaafir. If the world is divided, it would be divided into believers and non-believers. In an academic sense, the non-believers are called Kaafirs. The believers are those who believe in the Divine Revelation of the Almighty, who believe in the Revealed Books and who believe in the Prophets. Therefore, when we divide the believers and non-believers, (we can conclude that) the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims, these three religious groups are included within the believers! They are not included among the Kuffaar. All those who do not believe in any revealed Prophet or Messenger or any Revealed Book is to be included among the non-believers. The believers are then also divided between the Muslims and the Ahle Kitaab. The Qur'an itself has (specific) laws for the disbelievers and (specific) laws for the Ahle Kitaab. If we carefully examine the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the

teachings of the Holy Prophet r, then it becomes apparent that this relationship and connection (which is based on) faith, on the Divine Revelation, on belief in the Hereafter, on beliefs in the Prophet, Messengers, on the Revelations sent by the Almighty Y, on faith in the Last Day, etc. which is common to both, (we have to conclude) that both these beliefs and faiths are very similar. Addressing these same Christians, Mr. Tahir continues: You have arrived at your home and no other place. If the time for your worship has arrived, as the Muslims would shortly be going to the Masjid to pray, (in like manner), the Masjid in Minhaajul Qur'an not only at this moment or event, but forever, (this Masjid at Minhaajul Qur'an) will remain open to you. It is not because there is any political agenda or a political event at this moment or a political rally going on. Someone might think that it is a political necessity (which is why I have opened the doors to you). No, I do not have any political need. I remove you people from any implications in this lecture. I have shown my shoe at those who are in political power and might. I have also thrown my shoe at them. There is no need for politics now. Even now when I have called you and welcomed you and have arranged a function in this regard and have even opened the doors of the Masjid (for you), then it means that I have not stepped forward with any ulterior motive. This is solely based on my faith! Thank you very much. (end of CD). In the monthly magazine of Minhaajul Qur'an, it was reported that: The program commenced in the Minhaajul Qur'an Conference Hall in the morning at 10.30 a.m. (It commenced with) recitals from the Holy Qur'an and from the (blessed) Bible. The deputy leader of Minhaajul Qur'an, Brigadier Iqbal Ahmed Khan also presented the welcome address. Thereafter, Shaheen Mehdi and Muneer Bhati sang a few Christian songs and read a few Christian verses. The head organizer, Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, addressing the crowd declared that, to celebrate the birthday of Nabi 'Isa is part of our Imaan. (Minhaajul Qur'an monthly, Feb. 2008, pg. 73)

In one of the programs of Mr. Tahir, the crowd also chanted many times, Muslims and Christians are brothers while welcoming Mr. Tahir. (as heard on CD). We present the following words of the Holy Qur'an which seems to be screaming at the Muslims and calling to the Muslims that in spite of them, look at how Mr. Tahir is treating (this Qur'an). When will the Muslims awake? What is even more shocking is that Mr. Tahir considers Hadrat Abu Bakr t as nothing but only a political selection or leader. He even happily lectured at an Imam Bara (Shia place of worship) and shamefully chanted on many occasions that Sunnis and Shias are brothers. He even shouted that those who separate a Sunni and Shi'a should themselves be made into two. In the name of loving Hadrat Ali t, he completely adorned himself as a Shi'a. He even issued a decree that it was permissible to read Salaah behind a Tableeghi. This certainly became a source of distress for ordinary Muslims because he thought of them as an illiterate community. Yet, tragically, this man has not stopped there. He has now even went to the extent of announcing that Christians and Muslims are brothers! The clear and apparent Kufr of the Ahle Kitaab as declared in the Holy Qur'an! In the Surah Ale Imran, verse 64, the Almighty Y declares that:

This verse of the Holy Qur'an is screaming out to the Ahle Kitaab, the Christians and Jews, not to worship anyone except Allah Y and not to worship anyone as a deity except Allah Y as the Muslims are people who only accept Allah Y as their Deity of worship. The Muslims are also the ones who worship the Almighty Y as One Divine Creator. Do you think the Christians and Jews obeyed this Divine Command? The answer to this is a clear no! Here is the proof from the Holy Qur'an. In Surah Taubah, verse 30, the Almighty Y answers:

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this way) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them. How deluded they are (and) away from the truth! [Surah Taubah: 30] This verse of the Holy Qur'an clearly tells us that the Christians and Jews are clear and open disbelievers and nothing but idol-worshippers. They consider Hadrat Uzair u and Hadrat 'Isa u as gods and even worship them! The Christians have gone one further. They actually consider their padris and popes as gods and even worship these so called saints. At the same time, we have people like Mr. Tahir who publicly announces that these Christians and Jews are not disbelievers! This statement of his completely rejects the pronouncement of the Holy Qur'an. Yet, his followers not only accept him as a true leader, they even consider him not less than a Prophet! The reason is that even though he rejects the Qur'an openly and even rejects the legitimate leadership of Hadrat Abu Bakr t, in spite of this, they still consider him as being true. However, when people approach him and caution him that this road which he has chosen is the path of Kufr and not the path of Islam, he becomes an enemy of that

Say: O People of the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but Allah. That we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah. If then they turn back, say: Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will). [Surah Ale Imran: 64]

person and begins to dislike that person. If he thinks that he is sinless he needs to be reminded that the only two groups of creation who are sinless are the Prophets u and the Angels u. All other humans do make mistakes. If they consider Mr. Tahir less than a Prophet, at least they should think and ponder about this and after arriving at the truth, they should give him advice. If he listens to their advice, it is good; otherwise, they should break off all relationships with him. Yet, sadly, the only wish they have is that nothing should be said to Mr. Tahir. It is something which should be though about and thought about constantly. In Surah Ale Imran, verse 70, the Almighty Y declares that:

pleases: and Allah cares for all, and He knows all things. [Surah Ale Imran: 72-3] In Surah Ale Imran, verse 77, the Almighty Y declares that:

As for those who sell the Faith which they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleanse them (of sin): they shall have a grievous penalty. [Surah Ale Imran: 77] If anyone performs the same act which the Christians are doing such as wearing the cross, then Mr. Tahir certainly fits in this category. In other words, a lie is identical to the liar. This person also is completely declaring something which is totally against the injunctions of the Qur'an and is publicly declaring that these (Christians and Jews) are not Kaafirs. In Surah Maida, verse 61, the Almighty Y declares:

O People of the Book! Why do you reject the Signs of Allah, of which you (yourselves) are witnesses? [Surah Ale Imran: 70] Again in Surah Ale Imran, verses 72 and 73, the Almighty Y declares:

A section of the people of the Book say: Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers (Muslims) but, reject it at the end of the day; perhaps they may (themselves) turn back: And believe no one unless he follows your religion. Say: True guidance is the guidance of Allah. Do you fear that a Revelation be sent to someone (else) like unto that which was sent unto you? Or that those (receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord? Say: All bounties are in the Hand of Allah. He Grants them to whom He

When they come to you, they say: We believe: but in fact they enter with Kufr and they leave with the same (Kufr), but Allah knows full well all that they hide. [Surah Maida: 61] In like manner, there are numerous other verses which clearly pronounce the Kufr of these people. We do not have the intention of presenting all of them but merely proving that the Qur'an has explicitly called these people Kaafir. Tahir Sahib however, clearly refutes the Kufr of these people [i.e. he doesn't consider them Kaafirs]! He clearly wishes to prove that since there are a few differences between the Ahle

Kitaab and the rest of the disbelievers, he wishes to refute their Kufr and tries his level best to prove that these Christians and Jews are actually like Muslims in their beliefs. Sadly for him however, the Almighty Y is clearly stripping the liars and fraudsters naked in this entire argument. Even though the Kufr of the Christians have been proven since they are also included with the Jews among the Ahle Kitaab, however, there are numerous verses in the Holy Qur'an which clearly proves the Kufr of these Christians as a separate group altogether. In Surah Maida, verses 72 and 73, the Almighty Y declares that:

one with him. Hence, Nabi 'Isa u has become a god. May Allah Y protect us from this Kufr. The majority of the commentators of the Qur'an have explained that the idea of trinity held by the Christians is meant that God, 'Isa and Maryam have all become gods. What is common among them is that they have all become gods. The Islamic Jurists have also explained that the Christians have clearly admitted that the father, the son and the Holy Ghost (Ruhul Quds), all three of them are one god. In Surah Maidah, verse 17, the Almighty Y declares that:

They do blaspheme who say: (Allah) is Christ the son of Mary. but said Christ: O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, My Lord and your Lord. Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the Garden, and the fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help. Surely, disbelievers are those who said: Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity). but there is no deity (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but one Deity (Who is Allah). And if they do not stop from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. [Surah Maida: 72-3] Hadrat Maulana Na'eemudeen t in the Khazaa'inul Irfaan explains that, there have been many groups within the Christians, among them the Yaqoo-biyah and the Malaka-niyah. These people claimed that Maryam t had given birth to a god. They also claimed that God had become encompassed with the being of Nabi 'Isa u and has become

Surely, in disbelief are they who say that Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary). Say (O Muhammad r): Who then has the least power against Allah, if He were to destroy the Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), his mother, and all those who are on the earth together? And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He creates what He wills. And Allah is able to do all things. [Surah Maidah: 17] Again in Surah Maida, verse 14, the Almighty Y explains:

And from those who call themselves Christians, we took their covenant, but they have abandoned a good part of the message that was sent to them. So we planted amongst them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection (when they discarded Allah's Book, disobeyed Allah's Messengers and His orders

and transgressed beyond bounds in Allah's disobedience). And Allah will inform them soon of what they used to do. [Surah Maida: 14] Besides these, there are numerous other verses in the Holy Qur'an which clearly proves the Kufr of these Christians. What is the Islamic Decree on Mr. Tahir? 1. We see that Mr. Tahir called these Christians to Minhaajul Qur'an and opened the doors of the Masjid to them. On Christmas Day, he also ate a cake with them, displayed extreme friendship for them and announced to everyone present that these people were not Kaafirs. In the same function, he also informed everyone present that those who refute the Prophet-hood of Nabi 'Isa u are disbelievers. The question we would like to ask (him and his supporters) is, who was present there that would refute the prominent status and Prophethood of Nabi Isa u? All Praise is due to Allah Y in that a Muslim is born with this belief and has always maintained this belief that as long as a person does not accept the Prophet-hood of Nabi 'Isa u, that person can never be considered or called a Muslim. This is an integral part of Islamic belief. Mr. Tahir knew this fact and obviously he also knew that a Christian would never dispute the Prophet-hood of Nabi 'Isa u. Therefore, what was the need for this statement? Yes, if there was an announcement which was necessary then that statement should have been that if anyone refutes the Prophet-hood of Nabi Muhammad r, that person is certainly a disbeliever or a Kaafir. However, Mr. Tahir had a problem with this because if he made this announcement the Kaafirs sitting there would have become angry with him. His intention was to make them happy, hence, he changed the paint brush. Instead of inviting them to Islam, he started to pronounce publicly that their Kufr was actually Islam. He declared, These people are believers and not Kaafirs. We seek protection in Allah Y from these words of Kufr. 2. He has even declared that these Christian priests or Padris are the same as Islamic Scholars ('Ulama). He even declares that

whether it is a Christian Priest or the Islamic Ulama, their thinking or internal make up is the same. What is even more shocking is that he has declared that these Christians priests with their crosses around their necks are equal to the 'Ulama! Even though a Muslim who is not an Islamic scholar himself is not equal to a Muslim scholar. In Surah Zumur, verse 9, the Almighty clearly makes this distension by declaring that:

Say: Are those who know equal to those who know not? it is only men of understanding who will remember. [Zumur: 9] We ask how these disbelieving Pastors have suddenly become equal to the rightly-guided Ulama of Islam? At the same time, how have they actually become people who can be considered as learned people? 3. In the monthly magazine of Minhaajul Qur'an, it reported that this program commenced at 10.30 a.m. in the Conference Hall of Minhaajul Qur'an. It started with recitals from the Holy Qur'an and from the blessed? Bible. It was officially opened by the second in command of Minhaajul Qur'an, namely, Brigadier (retired) Iqbal Ahmed Khan. Thereafter, a certain Shaheen Mehdi and a certain Muneer Bhat sang a few Christians songs and read a few Christians verses. The head organizer, Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi during his speech declared that, to celebrate the birthday of Nabi Isa is part of our Imaan. (Monthly Minhaajul Qur'an, Feb. 2008, pg. 73) There is no doubt that the Muslims believe in every book that was Divinely revealed. However, you must remember that the present Bible is something which our Holy Qur'an itself describes as a book which has been altered and changed! Hence, to actually compare it with the Quran, to call it equal and to even publicly read it is nothing but an act which is trying to disprove and belie the Holy Quran! What must be the state of the Qur'an at that moment? We can also assume it must be saying, Look at this idiot! Firstly, he makes the misguided and misled Christians scholars equal to the rightly-guided 'Ulama of Islam. Then

he competes with me by bringing an altered and defrauded book as something which is equal to me! In fact, he has done the same thing with me which the disbelievers used to do in early times. The 'Ulama have clearly declared an Islamic ruling that to join an un-Islamic celebration and to respect this un-Islamic celebration is nothing but Kufr. Yet, you people at Minhaaj have actually organized yourselves this Christmas celebration and openly invited these Christian priests who have come with crosses clearly displayed around their necks. Surprisingly, even though these people are considered as clear Kaafirs, they have proved themselves even stronger in their faith (Kufr) than the members of the Minhaaj because they arrived with their crosses still around their necks. By doing this, they have actually slapped the faces of the members of the Minhaaj. They must be laughing inside and uttering to themselves, you people have totally ignored your own religion and have actually organized a Christmas program. You people are even publicly declaring that we are not Kaafirs. However (in our Kufr), we do not hold back. We have clearly refuted your Qur'an by wearing these crosses and the announcement of Mr. Raheeq Khan is like a double bonus for us in that even he has publicly announced that the celebration of Christmas is actually part of Islamic faith. There is no doubt that this belief of Christmas being a part of Imaan is something which can only be the faith of the members of the Minhaajul Qur'an. All Praise is due to Allah Y, Muslims clearly refrain from attending the religious functions of these disbelievers and do not for a moment doubt the Kufr of these people. There is no doubt that Mr. Tahir not only supports these disbelievers, but he has also openly refuted all those verses of the Holy Qur'an which has declared these people as Kaafirs. He happily accepts gifts from these people and gleefully cuts a cake with them. He even asks them to make a Du'a and prayer. All these acts are acts of Kufr and heresy. There is no doubt that after accepting Islam, Mr. Tahir has now become an open heretic and a Kaafir. Removing a doubt There are certain people today who think and believe that if there is one point of Islam in a person, then we should not call that person a Kaafir.

This is completely incorrect. Are there no similarities in certain actions between the Muslims, the Christians and Jews? There are. However, the Qur'an has openly declared these people as Kaafirs. What the 'Ulama have said is that if there are certain Islamic implications in the statement of a Muslim, then he would not be called a Kaafir. However, these misled people have gone completely opposite by even declaring that they would not even call a Kaafir a Kaafir! In their misconstrued faith, they ask, What guarantee do we have that, that person would actually die as a Kaafir? This itself is also incorrect because the Qur'an has clearly called a Kaafir a Kaafir. In like manner, we ask them, why should you call a Muslim a Muslim? How do you know that he will die as a Muslim? The final moments of a person is known only to the Almighty Y. However, Islamic Law has made a clear distinction between a Muslim and a Kaafir. If you do not call a Kaafir a Kaafir, does it mean that you would treat him in the same manner which you treat a Muslim? You must remember that there are numerous laws in Islam which clearly informs us that there are major differences between a Muslim and a non-Muslim. (Bahaar-e-Shari'ah, Part 9, pg. 142). In short, Mr. Tahir has clearly become a Kaafir and Murtad. We suggest that you people keep aside your personal thoughts and ideas to one side and your so-called open misconstrued democratic thinking and listen to the Holy Qur'an and Ahadith in this regard. We urge you to ask yourself this question based upon the following facts. Are you prepared to listen to these Islamic injunctions or are you only prepared to defend Mr. Tahir at any cost? The Decision of the Holy Qur'an In Surah Baqarah, verse 217, the Almighty Y declares that:

They ask You concerning fighting in the sacred months, say, Fighting therein is a great (transgression) but a greater (transgression) with Allah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allah, to disbelieve in him, to prevent access to Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) and to drive out its inhabitants and Fitnah is worse than killing. They will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever. [Surah Baqarah: 217] In Surah Maidah, verse 54, the Almighty Y declares again:

and his Ayats and his Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse; you have become Kaafirs after believing. [Surah Taubah: 65-6] By refuting these words of the Holy Qur'an and accepting these Christians and Jews as believers, Mr. Tahir has clearly refuted the statement of the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an declares that these people are Kaafirs, Mr. Tahir says no! In this way, he has by his words and actions clearly declared that the Almighty Y and His beloved Prophet r have spoken (Allah Y forbid) a lie! It is quite clear than anyone who tries to belie the Almighty Y and His beloved Prophet r is himself a Kaafir and Murtad. The Decision of the Hadith Shareef * In the Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, Hadrat Abdullah ibn Masood t narrates that the Holy Prophet r has declared that, The blood of that person is not Halaal (in other words he cannot be killed), who declares that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah Y and also bears witness to my Prophet-hood except three people. The person who must be killed to avenge another (who he had killed), the married person who performs adultery and the person who divorces his religion and (religious) group. (Bukhari #6878, Muslim #4375, Tirmidi #1402, Sunan Nisaa'I #4016 and Ibn Majah #2534). In the authentic book of Bahrur Raa'iq which is the commentary of Kanzud Daqaa'iq it is declared that, A person who refutes an authentic Hadith or declares that he has heard a bad Hadith, that person would immediately become a Kaafir. (Vol. 5, pg. 205-6). If this is the Islamic ruling on someone who refutes an authentic Hadith Shareef, what would be the condition of that person who refutes the Holy Qur'an? In the Fatawa Alamgiri, Vol. 2, pg. 265, under the title of the same words, explains that, Whosoever refutes an authentic Hadith Shareef

O You who believe! whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the way of Allah and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All Sufficient for His creatures needs, the All Knowing. [Surah Maidah: 54] In Surah Taubah, verses 65 and 66, the Almighty Y declares that:

If you ask them (about this), they declare: We were only talking idly and joking. Say: Was it at Allah

becomes a Kaafir. In the same book, Vol. 2, pg. 266, it is further declared that, When a person refutes a Qur'anic verse, or mocks a certain verse of the Qur'an and in the Fatawa Khazaanah it is stated and if he finds faults with a Qur'anic verse, he immediately becomes a Kaafir. The same has been echoed in Fatawa Tataar Khan. In Bahrur Raa'iq, the commentary of the Kanz, it is again stated that, A person who refutes a Qur'anic verse or mocks at a certain verse, would become a Kaafir. Hence, a person who doubts the punishment that is to befall a Jew and Christian is certainly a Kaafir. Similarly, a person who refutes the disbelief of these people and still considers these people as Muslims, there is no doubt in the punishment which is to befall this person! In fact, one is certain about the punishment which is to befall this person. In Fatawa Alamgiri, it is stated that, It has been reported from ibn Salaam that anyone who declares that he has no knowledge that when the Christians and Jews would arise again and that they would be punished in the Fire of Hell, all our Mashaa'ikh and even the teachers of these Mashaa'ikh have given a legal ruling that this person would become a Kaafir. This has also been mentioned in Fatawah Itaabiyah. The same context has been declared in Bahrur Raa'iq, Vol. 5, pg. 206 where it stated that the same law would apply to that person who admits that he does not know (whether these Christians and Jews) would be punished after awaking from death. In Bahar-e-Shari'ah, Vol. 9, pg. 149, it is clearly explained that, A person who relates a defect to any Qur'anic verse, or disrespects it or mocks it, (that person) would become a Kaafir. Mr. Tahir however, has gone one further. He has clearly disputed the Qur'an and Hadith. He has related a lie to the Almighty Y and His Prophet r among others. There is no doubt that this person has left the folds of Islam and has become a Kaafir and Murtad.

In the same book, Bahar-e-Shari'ah it is further explained that, to attend the religious functions of the disbelievers and to increase the status or stature of their religious gatherings (by attending) is clear Kufr. Mr. Tahir and his members have not only attended, he has actually invited them to his house or centre and celebrated Christmas with them! At the same time, by making them equal to Muslims and trying to create unity among them and Muslims, he has insulted the Muslims and Islam. In the Fatawa Alamgiri, pg. 276, it is stated, If a person says that Christians are better than fire-worshippers or that Christians are better than Jews (or vice versa), that person would immediately become a Kaafir. A'la Hadrat, Imam Ahmed Raza t explains: There is Ijma' or consensus in this that, a person who does not call a disbeliever such as a Christian, or Jew or any (other disbeliever) a Kaafir, or he hesitates in calling (someone a disbeliever), or doubts the (Kufr) of that person, than this person (himself becomes a Kaafir). The reason is that Imam Qadi Abu Bakr Baaqi-laani has explained that there is irrefutable Islamic proof (on this) and there is also the Ijma' of the Ummah (on this issue meaning), the Kufr of (these disbelievers). Therefore, a person (Muslim) who hesitates in this has belied an irrefutable proof of Islamic Law, (even if he,) doubts this (irrefutable proof). And this can only emanate from a Kaafir. (Fatawa Radawwiyah, Vol. 6, pg. 271) Mr. Tahir has compared these disbelievers to Muslims. He has even compared their misguided teachings to Islam and has considered their Kufr the same as Islam. Why has he not become a disbeliever?! In fact, there is absolutely no doubt in his Kufr and heresy. An appeal is made to responsible 'Ulama and mature-minded people who spread Islam that it has become Waajib upon them to refute this heretic using their knowledge to do so. They should also take his name when they are refuting him so that from the East to the West the true nature of his misled movement becomes apparent to all

innocent Muslims. It is Waajib to take this person's name in public and refute his evil teachings. The teachings of this misled person are similar to the evil as propounded by people such as Pharaoh, Nimrod and Abu Lahab. Those Ahadith which indicate that the hypocrites should be thrown out of the Masjid are also applicable to him and his devious close supporters. We urge you to ignore your weaknesses and come into the battlefield otherwise Islam would never forgive us. We look forward to a time when the members of Minhaajul Qur'an and all those associated with it will make a public announcement that any person who belies the Almighty Y and His Prophet r is certainly a Kaafir and heretic and that they are also with the rightly-guided Muslims. They must also make this public announcement that they themselves would refute Mr. Tahir and are immediately breaking all ties with him. Instead of supporting and defending him any further, they are now concerned about their own condition in the Hereafter!

Refutation of Tahirul Qaderi by the Ulama of Jamia al-Ashrafiyya, Mubarakpur, Hind Professor Tahirul Qaderi - A Moment to Reflect!

The light of Islam arrived in Hindustan (Indo-Pak, Bangladesh) from the time of the blessed companions and through the sincere invitation by those who propagated this message, including the great Mashaa'ikh and the Sufis - many thousands of people were blessed with accepting Islam. Day and night this number continued to increase and the light of Islam continued to every nook and corner of Hindustan. After a long period had passed, a great danger and peril arrived which threatened to destroy the face of Islam. It also posed a great threat to disfigure the actual feature of Islam when the Mughal ruler, Jalaaludeen Mohammed Akbar, gathered every leader of every religious group and began to organize a gathering where everyone presented his respective religious teachings and laws. A thought also occurred to him (at that moment) as why should he not choose the best from each group and create his own religious sect (with the aim) of spreading it all over Hindustan. He then prepared an insane combination of beliefs which he termed as Deen-e-Ilaahi. Under the royal patronage, he also had special arrangements made to spread and propagate this (new religion). May the Almighty Y send his Special Blessings and Grace upon (eminent people) such as Hadrat Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlwi t and Mujjadid Alif Thani, Hadrat Shaikh Ahmed Farouk Sirhindi t because of whom specifically and generally others who fought against this Fitna in their own respective manner. They protected the Muslim masses from the great outpouring of this immense wave (of fitna).

This same situation faced the Muslims masses of Hindustan when they were caught unaware during the year of 1920 when the famous NonCooperation Movement reared its ugly head. When the darkness of this movement began to spread, certain leaders of that period strove to form a new (religious) sect which would eliminate the differences (which existed) between the Muslims and Hindus. They even declared the confluence of the rivers (in India) as a sacred place. At this dangerous time in history, the great Imam of his time, Imam Ahmed Raza Qaderi Barakati Bareilly, who passed away in (1340 a.h./1921), and various other eminent 'Ulama and Mashaa'ikh of the Ahle Sunnah, through their writings and speeches, fought against this great fitna and managed to save the Imaan or beliefs of the Muslim masses. They also demonstrated a supreme example in protecting (the religion) of Islam and an amazing illustration of safeguarding the true religion. (There is no doubt) that intelligence and acumen is a gift from among the many Divine gifts of the Almighty Y. To utilize it in a proper manner is indeed a source of mercy for the creation of the Almighty Y. The Muslim and the Islamic scholar are able to exalt the other creation and become a source of guidance and direction. They are also able to create and smoothen the path so that (a person) is able to approach the religion of Islam which is a religion loved by the Almighty Y. This can only happen (when there is) sincerity, a pure heart and guidance from the Almighty Y which is also (included) in this. (However) sometimes, this same intelligence and acumen becomes a source of fitna and a great test. (A person solely relying on his intellect) becomes a victim of his own personal conceit. He becomes intent on disputing with eminent scholars (of the past) and starts to point a finger at these (eminent scholars). New things are said by him and after getting the attention of people, he tries to become famous and beloved among them (and this creates a platform) where he distances himself from the path of truth and justice. He refuses to accept authentic and valid laws and turns away from them and begins to present his own (socalled) research and new found thoughts and ideas. Against the great majority of 'Ulama and jurists of Islam, he begins to display his selfcentred ijtihad or analysis. By displaying his thoughts, brilliant speeches and writings, he embarks to create his own special group among the great majority of the Ahle Sunnah wa Jamaah. Slowly but surely (with those) who think and believe like him he solidifies (this

group) and becomes the founder of a new sect. There are many examples like this which are to found in the Indo-Pak subcontinent and Bangladesh. This is well-known to the learned as well as to the common people. Among those people who have fallen victims to their (so-called) intellect and (so-called) knowledge and which has made them follow the wrong path and who have become drunk with their (deep selfconceited) research and analysis in Hindustan have been people such as Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan, Inayatullah Mashraqi and Abul Qalam Azad whose names stand out. The latest among them is an individual called Waheedudeen Khan in New Dehli. May the Almighty Y protect the Muslims against the (religious) calamity and catastrophe and the misguidance of these people. May the Almighty Y also give the Muslims the strength to follow the path of the eminent and pious predecessors of the Muslims and the great (scholars) of the Ahle Sunnah. Ameen. The founder of Idaarah Minhaajul Quran, Professor Tahirul Qaderi, through his books and lectures is becoming a centre of attention for many Muslims within the Indo-Pak subcontinent as well as from other countries. His thoughts have affected the minds and hearts of many people. One aspect of the life of Professor Tahirul Qaderi and his various thoughts is that he has presented certain beliefs and actions of the Ahle Sunnah in lectures and books in such an undisputed and attractive manner with the result that many (innocent) Sunni Muslims consider him as the best spokesperson and propagator of the Ahle Sunnah (in the present time). (However), the other side of this is that through his lectures and books a new type of thinking is been created and a new philosophy is been born. Through his research and ijtihad, the door of new fitna is been opened. Among the conversations of the intellectuals, his personality, his thoughts and his movement have become a source of debate. This is the reason that the great Mashaaikh and Ulama of the Ahle Sunnah of the Indo-Pak subcontinent, sensing a great danger, are extremely wary and

concerned. They have continued to think of ways and means and plans to eliminate this (fitna). They have continued (the effort) in Pakistan through their articles, newsletters and books for a long time to present these (thoughts and concerns of theirs). Recently, a new incident occurred where Professor Tahirul Qaderi arranged a religious conference in England where leaders from different religions gathered. In this conference, each one of them addressed the audience according to his own faith and prayed according to their own religious beliefs. In this conference, many (of them) became guilty of Haraam and heretical (beliefs and actions) and yet, Professor Tahirul Qaderi seemed to have accepted all of this. On his side, he did not reject or disown anything (which was said or done). There is a CD available which clearly shows the program which took place at this conference and the various aspects which occurred. The entire content can be seen and heard. This same CD is freely available and spreading around Hindustan and one can easily get a copy of it so that one can see and hear for oneself. The behaviour of Professor Tahirul Qaderi and the love for his own personal analysis or so called ijtihad began when the issue of Diyat (or blood money) arose. He presented his own thoughts on this issue. These thoughts were absolutely contrary and totally against the teachings of Imam Azam, Imam Abu Hanifa t and the various other eminent jurists of the Hanafi school of Sunni Islamic Jurisprudence. The great Islamic scholar of Pakistan and even the teacher of Professor Tahirul Qaderi, namely Hadrat Allama Syed Ahmed Sa'eed Kaazmi t of Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, tried to explain many times to Professor Tahirul Qaderi, yet, he continued to remain obstinate on his own ijtihad. All the 'Ulama of the Ahle Sunnah continued to try and bring him on the right path but they were unsuccessful. The most surprising incident occurred when during this same debate, a Sunni scholar informed him that (in the issue of diyat), the great Imam Azam t states the following. In reply to this, in a fit of self-conceited power, he surprised everyone by replying, Why do you present his name in the face of my proofs? In this issue, he is the other party. The summary of his reply is that in the (issue of diyat or blood money), I have used my own ijtihad and many years prior, Imam Azam, Imam Abu Hanifa t had used his own ijtihad and my ijtihad is

different from his. Hence, in this regard, I am one party and he is the other party. Why, therefore, are you speaking of someone who is opposing me or why do you present his ijtihad which is opposite to mine? The readers should place this first act of ijtihad in front of them and think carefully and make their own decision as to who was the first person Professor Tahirul Qaderi opposed according to his intellectual acumen? They should then themselves conclude that a person who opposes the internationally recognized Mujtahids and Islamic jurists through his so-called intelligence and knowledge and considers his own decision as superior and greater, what would eventually happen to such a person? What would eventually happen to those who blindly follow such a person? The second ijtihad of Professer Tahirul Qaderi is when he completely opposed the Holy Qur'an. In displaying this ijtihad which was totally against a clear and open law of the Qur'an, he declared that, The testimony of a single female is equal to the testimony of a single male. In this so called ijtihad, Professor Tahirul Qaderi completely refuted the Qur'an and Sunnah and completely ignored the unanimous decision of the four great Imams, namely Imam Azam t, Imam Shafi' t, Imam Maalik t and Imam Ahmed bin Hambal t. Not only this, he completely disregarded the decision of these eminent scholars. He had absolutely no concern whatsoever for the unanimous belief as accepted by the Sawad-e-Azam Ahle Sunnah wa Jamaah. Slowly the matter has reached the stage where in his own conference on his own stage, he completely ignores and disregards the collective Haraam and Kufr actions of the leaders of the Jewish, Christian and Mushrik community. He closes his ears to the misguidance, disbelief and heresy of these people when they speak and lecture. This action of his cannot be said to be the act of someone who is helpless and neither was it necessary for him to remain silent. All that can be said is that he was totally satisfied and in agreement with the kufr that was been displayed. Nothing else can be said otherwise. Can any person be so stupid and dim-witted and continue to eat deliberately (something which is served) by that person who everyone is certain about that this same person sometimes mixes poison in

honey and sometimes mixes venom in sweet? Can anyone ever eat from the table of such a person? Or can anyone even go near such a person? Think and deliberate on this and come to the right decision. In fact it is better that you contact your nearest Sunni scholar and educate yourself of the actual truth. Endeavour to make sure that your (life) in the Hereafter is good. May the Almighty Y keep all of us on the path of truth, on guidance, on the Siraat-e-Mustaqeem and keep us on the path of our eminent and blessed predecessors and their blessed Maslak and company. Ameen.
